I linked my RBCTT Credit card and it works for all purchase via Paypal.

A few finicky merchants prefer direct debit instead of Paypal so be careful- Paypal is safest option.

Yes it works for Credit cards but not local TTD Visa debit cards.

The local banks are switching their LINX cards to Visa Debit cards, but they are in TT$ and can’t be used for online purchases. They can be used at select foreign ATMs but not at point-of-sale in stores abroad. At a foreign ATM you can withdraw up to US$100 per day.

These local LINX cards with the Visa Debit logo can’t be used on PayPal.

JMMB has a US$ Visa Debit card that can be used on PayPal.

You can't add the card to PayPal at all as far as I know.

When sending money, is the value of the transfer charged to my registered credit card on my paypal account, in which case it is seen on the credit card statement as a "paypal" charge?

Just enter amount you want to send and the person receives it instantly to their PayPal. They can then transfer the funds to their bank account. A fee is charged so if you send $1000 they may get like $958.
The funds will be withdrawn from your credit card and show up as a PayPal transaction.

Process is really simple.
1.)Open a paypal account.
2.)Link a credit card to your paypal account. If it is a prepaid credit card make sure you have funds in the card.
3.)Have the person you're sending money on paypal to give you their paypal user name and ensure its the right person.
4.)Press the send feature and input the amount you would like to send. Generally the currency is in USD but you can change it in the settings. A small fee is charged by paypal.
5.)The person should receive the funds in less than a minute.
6.) Check Credit Card HIstory to See breakdown of charges.

That's simply sending funds as a gift to someone in the USA using Pay Pal as a means of transmission.

If you have Mastercard you can't withdraw funds to the card. You need a Visa card for that.

I don't seem to see that as an option and when I tried sending funds my family abroad indicated it apparently went through as a business transaction and they were holding the funds unless a tracking or invoice could be provided. I believe once one of the accounts or both are business accounts then there's no way around the fees

Never used paypal before and I will be receiving funds shortly. Yes I skimmed through the previous post. Do I just sign up for paypal and receive the funds and worry about linking it to my cc or bank later or must be done first?

It will work. Dont need an invoice or tracking.
