i have a padna with a bar in kelly who had 25 workers
for the first 6 months of being forced to close he still paid them their full salary because he thought things would reopen soon

after that he had to start telling them he cant afford to keep paying when he dunno how things going

imagine 25 families with no income because of just one bar
then it have the people who would sell food outside the bars


endless families normally live month to month,
people real suffering financially

What bar employs 25 people?
My uncle next door used to run one since I was a child up to 2008. And there are two fairly busy bars next to each other around 4 houses away from me and I can tell you neither one has that much workers.

consider a bar that has roulette machines, 3-4 security to watch the roulette, security outside in the car park for customers, 3-4 bartenders and 6 or so waiters
open 22 out of 24 hours for the day so two shifts of workers

people from kelly would know which bar i talking about

One I have an financial stake in has 14 waitstaff, 5 bar staff, 5 security guards( spread over a shift system) ….. I haven’t even gotten to kitchen and maintenance yet.

and again thats not counting the people who make their living selling food stuff outside most bars

A rare glimpse into operations at the Couva Hospital and Multi Training Facility has left a lasting impact on CNC3’s Morning Brew host Jason Williams.

Yesterday, Williams opened up about his Divali holiday visit to the facility, where COVID- 19 patients are being treated.

“While being there it is was really emotional to see first-hand the hospital and having conversations with staff about the Hot Zone and Cold Zone and seeing how real the situation is,” Williams said.

According to Williams, witnessing the impact of the frontal attack of the pandemic on citizens, as well as on medical personnel, left him rattled.

He said the first-hand account of activities in the facilities underscored the seriousness of the disease.

“It was emotional, I can’t lie, I had to literally control myself because I was welling up, especially when the nurses were speaking. What they described to me was unthinkable. They would mention dealing with a patient one day and their shift would come to an end and they will go home and by the time they come back the next day, somebody new is in the bed,” he said

Williams said the insight also offered answers to questions about patient treatment, as well as how the deceased are handled.

He added: “What happens when a COVID patient dies? I never gave it much thought and what I saw for myself was the belongings, we talking here slippers, cell phone, whatever you came in with, it is in a bio-hazard bag waiting to be, I guess, delivered to your loved ones, a couple days will have to pass from what I understand. Seeing it from that level was really difficult.”

As vaccine uptake slows, Williams stressed that citizens cannot afford to drop their guard against the disease.

“We need to do what we can to just be responsible and practice the protocols, it is very serious. Citizens won’t get this kind of access or even want to go if access was granted but when you see it from that angle, the reality of the day really hits home,” he noted

Williams was joined on the visit by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh and representatives of the North Central Regional Health Authority.

Mt hope and other public places taking up to 14 days to call you with your test results apparently. Once you come in for a test and tell them you have symptoms they doing the pcr and giving you 14 days quarantine.
And taking up to 14 days to give your results.


So imagine everyone you see testing publicly all over....who honestly not going to take on quarantine unless they get a positive result...so they mixing as normal for 14 days with everyone.
