Mass Shooting in the United States

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A 23-year-old bank employee armed with a rifle opened fire at his workplace Monday morning, killing four people — including a close friend of the governor — while livestreaming the attack, authorities said.

“Let’s be clear about what this was,” Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said. “This was an evil act of targeted violence.”

The shooting, the 15th mass killing in the country this year, comes just two weeks after a former student killed three children and three adults at a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee, about 160 miles (260 kilometers) to the south. That state’s governor and his wife also had friends killed in that shooting.

Police arrived as shots were still being fired inside Old National Bank and killed the shooter in an exchange of gunfire, Louisville Metro Police Department Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said at a news conference.

“The suspect shot at officers,” the police chief said. “We then returned fire and stopped that threat.”

The chief identified the shooter as Connor Sturgeon, who she said was livestreaming during the attack.

“That’s tragic to know that that incident was out there and captured,” she said. “We’re hopeful that we can have that incident removed, that footage removed.”

Men yearn for war and conquest

When young energetic (and virgin) men sitting down all day they tend to accumulate all kindsa energies.
Basically if you ain't blowing your load in some throat AND sitting behind a screen 12 hours a day, it tends to make a man depressed/anxious.

Look at him, does he look violent?

Also, does he look like he'd get picked on and have no outlet to blow steam and is probably upset that no woman wants to jump his bones?

Also pronouns in bio is textbook unstable personality trait.

A second shooting the same morning, two miles away.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A second shooting has been reported in downtown Louisville in a separate incident.

The incident took place near Jefferson Community and Technical College, at the 800 block of West Chestnut Street in Louisville.

JCTC reports that the campus has been cleared but the school is currently closed down.

One man was killed and another person was injured and taken to the hospital. Louisville Metro Police reports that the suspect fled on foot, and possibly got into a car and fled the scene.

This was just hours after a shooting at the Old National Bank downtown, but LMPD says the two incidents are unrelated.

According to LMPD, officers responded to a shooting incident around 11 a.m. at 8th Street and Chestnut. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals, both adults, that had been shot outside of this location.

Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene, and pronounced one adult male deceased, while another adult female was transported to University Hospital with injuries that are unknown.

Because of the location, LMPD said they searched the campus of JCTC to make sure the facility was clear of any other possible threats or victims. There are no known suspects at the time.

According to GVA, there were nine mass shootings in the USA on Saturday, 15 April.

There have been 163 mass shootings in the U.S. so far this year, not including the attack in Dadeville, according to the independent group Gun Violence Archive. The group defines a mass shooting as any event in which there were four or more victims, excluding the shooter.

Shooters are both minors

DADEVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Two teenagers have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting that killed four young people at a Sweet Sixteen birthday party, Alabama investigators announced Wednesday.

Tallapoosa County District Attorney Mike Segrest said the pair — Ty Reik McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough, 16, both of Tuskegee — would be tried as adults. That’s automatically required in Alabama for anyone 16 or older charged with murder.

Sgt. Jeremy J. Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency wouldn’t say where the two are being jailed, or whether they were already in custody when they were charged late Tuesday.

Is that the same though? The local perpetrators are mostly criminals, not "average" people gone postal.

Does that really matter to a body lying in a morgue or some one on the operating table with some 5.56 or 7.62 copper stuck in their body?

The difference may be random victims vs an intended target with collateral damage.

It's in people's nature to profile others for their safety. I'm sure the people who were killed by the livestreaming banker in Louisville were surprised as hell when sheit started going down.

It's important to know the difference to the questions why are criminals becoming more brazen vs. why are citizens springing violent, cowardly acts on an unsuspecting populace.

No one really cares when its bandits shooting bandits.

What hurts is when innocents and children are involved.

Police in Texas say they believe a man killed five of his neighbours after an argument about him shooting a semi-automatic weapon in his front yard.

The victims were all from Honduras, and included an eight-year-old child.

The incident occurred late on Friday night in the small town of Cleveland, San Jacinto County, Texas.

Among those killed were two women found lying on top of two surviving children, according to local Sheriff Greg Capers.

The suspect, believed to be Mexican, has been named as Francisco Oropez. He is still on the run and thought to be armed.

US law enforcement typically won't identify victims until the next of kin has been identified. It's safe to assume that any early published reports may lack a victim's name for that reason.

All of the victims have now been named.
