With new photos or without, passports and DLs have been renewed by mail and online in many places for a long, long time.

I’ll wait to see implementation because we always find a way to make the system still archaic but sounds positive

Did this to do an upgrade to Heavy T

Uploaded all the forms:

Existing Permit, Proof of Address Doctor Form , completed form 4 etc

Emails were sent with queries if something was not clear. Thus far my only visit to the Licensing Office was to collect the said Doctor and Form 4. Every thing else was done online. My next step would be to visit to obtain a provisional Heavy T License . Certainly a step in the right direction to ease some tremendous bureaucracy in the Public Sector.

So we are trying to find out the owner of a truck PDS 4 - 4 who almost killed my wife today by driving on the right side of the EMR heading East by Mt. D'or. Yes, you read that right. My wife was heading west on the extreme left.

The MoW database only allows you to view your own car details and you have to input 2 pieces of data.

https://apps.mowt.gov.tt/vrv

Any suggestions? You can always PM me. Thanks.

For what purpose though? If a accident didn't happen then you have nothing to get recourse for or for police to even take you on.

A almost accident isn't a complaint.

U looking for vigilante justice?

I old. I not no "Equalizer".

The truck van / had Mecalfab on the back and wifey thought it belonged to them. When she called to make a complaint she was told that it is not their truck. They attach the company name on the bottom right hand back of the vehicle whenever they do work / modification on it.

She did not see the side of the truck to determine which company, if any, it belonged to.

She is just trying to make a report to the company, once she can get a name.

Wake up call to install a dual dashcam. $100 USD is a good investment.

Many cars made in USA/CAN now coming with stock dashcam.

You will not believe, eh, maj.tom, but a few years ago I installed a dash cam in her car.

But, it did not work out for her in terms of being a "nuisance" and impeding view etc. So one day it fell off and never went back up.

I still have a brand new one somewhere. Time to take it out and put it back up.

Put it on the left side of the rear view mirror right at the top. The driver isn't really supposed to see or even touch the dash cam. If I have to look at the screen I would have to lean over to the passenger seat so I don't interact with it at all, and it's mostly hidden by the mirror. They all have collision detection to lock the memory card if anything happens.

It really is a distraction if you mount it in the wrong place. Just like those phone holders to use GPS. I find it was too distracting in front me, plus nobody can resist reading text messages and even thinking you could reply easily while driving if it right there. 3 seconds phone screen distraction could mean life or death for someone else on the road. So I just rest my phone in the cup holder now and let it speak directions loud. Regular route driving I rest it in the rear pocket of the front seat.

blues,

Let it go. It is unfortunate and annoying, but let it go. There were no loss of life, no damages, therefore you have no case.

Ok, so you find the driver and then what? What if the driver says your wife was wrong and her story is untruthful? What if he also says someone tried to kill him so he had no choice to end up on her lane but with his skill, experience and consideration for the safety of your wife and occupants with the help of the almighty that he avoided any damages…

Then what?

Let it go B

Story time

Went to get my vehicle inspected, but I was told there was a mistake on the data entered on their system compared to the certified copy.

No weights were entered, and there was a zero instead of an 'o'

I had to go to the licensing office apply to get the information changed, which would take about 2 weeks. They would then call to say the changes were made . I would then have to reapply for a certified copy and then go back to do the inspection .

News to me was that the inspection stations are now tied to the licensing office.

Yea the inspection stations have access to LO database so they been helping clean up the errors.
Piece of advice just check after 3-4
weeks. Licensing probably won’t call

Yes over the last two years they have been cleaning up the transcription errors. From since 2017 i got issued a whole new drivers permit number and 2 years ago incidentally my brothers chassis number was incorrectly put in but it’s fairly straight forward with the corrections excluding the timing
