Guys I’m on the market for a code reader/scanner. I’ve tried those Bluetooth things that connect to your phone and they didn’t work out and I bought a Foxwell unit from Amazon which worked great until an update screwed it up. It’s for personal use on my vehicles and maybe family/ friends. I was looking at the options on Capital Equipment website of their offerings from the Launch brand but I’m a little iffy because in my experience sometimes they don’t work on all vehicles. Anything recommended will be appreciated

Edit: I meant the readers/scanners I bought weren’t able to work on all vehicles not the Launch brand…

Wow and was gonna recommend Launch.
I just bought an Ancel unit. Very basic which also has a useful battery tester. So far it answered all what I asked it to do. Was a mere $40 ish depending where you buy it from.

I never used a Launch but I was meaning to say was all the others I used had the problem of not being able to work on some vehicles for some reason. I’ll look into the Ancel units. It’s actually the second time someone mentioned it today. Can you say what model you got?

I got the AD410 with a battery tester. Battery tester function is quite good in the tests it performs to give you a percent of battery life left.

I thought I had a problem with water temps and it has a data stream for temps so I was able to monitor it.

Ancel has over 12k reviews on Amazon for this unit.

Autels are also good.

Thanks for the info. I’ll look at the model you bought. Capital website has a Launch CRP 239 for $2800 that they’re recommended for DIYers as well but I can’t justify that price to the bosslady lol. Thanks again

Exactly....this doesn't make me money on a full time basis hence I didn't cheap out but I didn't break the bank either.
A friend bought one of the entry level Launch scanners and again flawless operation. All I did was retrieve a code with it so can't comment more but maybe he reads this and might say something lol.
Later I will post pics of the Ancel I bought.

Yes. $600 its more that what the machine is worth IMO. The machine is over 40 years old and doesn’t use the switch type amperage settings as the Lincoln does rather it uses a screw type mechanism that moves inside the transformer and gives the appropriate current settings . It’s currently running direct and I’d like to have better control rather that unplugging it every time

best way is to mount a complete isolator box to the unit because to mount a breaker by itself kinda iffy since only one side has screw terminals for the wires
the other side is meant as push on contact in a panel or isolator box
i have seen fellas who do it both ways.

Good Day Fellas,

i am looking for a parts store that has pads for random orbital sander.
SSL in Fernando has it but i was wondering if there is a place closer to POS?

This is the product:

Anybody could recommend a repair technician in the east (besides hadden) to repair a karcher pressure washer?
The on/off switch seems to be no longer working and the pressure switch seems to have failed also.
