Strange that they would launch something that doesn't work.

Update: I called bmobile, they updated settings on their end, and it works now.

Called and the rep have no clue of what I am speaking about. SMH. Expected with BMobile. Launch a feature and reps are clueless.

Steups.

Telling her about VoLTE and she like wa??????? You're not getting calls? LOL!!!

So I checked cell 4 less in aranguez, upstairs xtra foods plaza and I got a new sim replacement to their iSim. It a regular sim with VOLTE enabled.

Still can't get it to work on my One Plus 12. Tried calling bmobile and they are saying it is enabled on their end . Did some research and IMS is not registered. So it won't work.

Well I got the new I-sim which is the new physical SIM card with this feature supposedly enabled but it still doesn't work. They said it will work on the Samsung s23/s24 series and iPhones that support. So it looks like us one plus users are in the dark. Seems like they only support limited mobile profiles. Not sure but it's dumb if so. Gonna switch the new mobile sim into SIM card slot 2 on my one plus device and see if it works. as I currently have a digi esim which disabled sim slot 2.

Will report back and let you guys know.

https://bmobile.co.tt/volte/

Here you can check your phone compatibility and settings. They seem to support both Samsung and iPhone models but show this message for other phones. If they are supporting other phones, why do they want you to check your manual to set the APN? The wording is confusing.

I took the 6 month My 30 day Plan with auto renew 3 months ago. Didn't have to top up till now. I was wondering why 3 months in I had no data and then I checked my credit. It expired yesterday. So apparently you still have to topup before your credit (i.e. money on phone) expires to continue the auto renew plans. I just topped up $35 which extends to June and my auto renew plans are active again.

Well it didn't work. Big launch, only to realise it still having issues. If you dig deep and enter you mobile secret menu for android mobile phones, there is a setting (IMS registration) that need to indicate "registered". So far it is not, so something they are not doing. Any one here with a Samsung phone got it working?

I got a Samsung S24 Ultra and got VoLTE working on my phone. I went to the bmobile outlet in Westmall and the guy there swapped out my old sim with a new one and then I saw him do some setting stuff on the phone and his pc and everything was working. Just to note I'm on a post paid plan and the sim change cost $25. Here's a pic of it showing up on my notification/status bar...

Nice. Seems like I will need to go west mall. But how are Data speeds and stability? I have notice that their LTE signal is very strong now, like everywhere since I got the new sim. Digicel is very spotty since.

Honestly, I can't speak much on its speed as I never really checked but so far pretty stable though the only test I can compare it to is on a hands-free call while Waze is running or on a call while sending someone a Whatsapp message. I did notice a "HD" icon show up while i was on a hands-free call but couldn't look at it further as I was driving. But yeah I do find the LTE signal showing up more often with barely much H/H+ as before.

Went to bmobile Couva on friday and got my Sim swapped out. Called 824-TSTT after and after a lot of hiccups got my number provisioned on my S23. Got another number provisioned again with some hiccups on a Galaxy A50 yesterday.

If you swapped the SIM out already call 824-TSTT and if they say it's activated already but it still not working for you then ask them to escalate the issue to one of the technicians and they will give you a ticket number. That's how I got mine to work cause the reps kept on trying to provision it and it kept failing. After about 1 hour it started to work on my S23 and about 12 hours it started to work after it got escalated on my A50. On the A50 the rep said it was provisioned and it wasn't just like they told you and it got fixed after it was escalated.

It is so frustrating dealing with these reps. I actually went to Bmobile at East gates and the rep explained this same thing. She was getting an error trying to refresh my account. Now I am on the phone with a rep, and my goodness. Anyway finally got my ticket number. So I will follow up tomorrow.

https://newsday.co.tt/2025/02/17/digital-media-company-names-bmobile-tts-fastest-best-network-for-2024/

Bmobile has been named Trinidad and Tobago’s fastest and best mobile network by Ookla, a company that specialises in connectivity intelligence.

A release from bmobile said it got the accolade for the third and fourth quarter of 2024 in the Ookla speed test awards, which are based on a rigorous analysis of thousands of consumer-initiated tests performed using the company’s speedtest application.

A media release form Bmobile on February 17 said the award solidifies its position as a leader in mobile network performance in TT.

“This is the first time bmobile has been recognised by Ookla.

“Receiving both the fastest mobile network and the best mobile network awards reflects the hard work we’ve put in over the years,” said Kent Western, TSTT CEO.

He said the achievement highlights the company’s commitment to enhancing connectivity across TT.

“(It) proves what our customers already know – when it comes to speed and reliability, bmobile delivers.”

The release said bmobile has continually invested in network infrastructure and empowering customers to stay connected more quickly and reliably.

“This isn’t just a win for us, it’s a win for every person who relies on us to stay connected, work and thrive. Its also a testament to our team’s efforts and our company’s vision to advance connectivity in TT.”

At the end of 2024, bmobile introduced the Voice over LTE (VoLTE), feature which allowed customers to talk on their mobile phones and surf the internet simultaneously.

The Ookla awards, the release added, also came on the heels of the 2024 Telecommunications and Broadcasting Industry (TBI) Awards, where bmobile got the Connect the Unconnected award, the Social Contribution award, the Sustainability award and the Technological Disruptor award for outstanding work in different areas.
