If she was caught shoplifting and she's the sister of a man who 'have money', then I assume the relationship between them isn't that great. Maybe batman may not be so bothered by the 'hit' as the perpetrators think.

If she was caught shoplifting and she's the sister of a man who 'have money', then I assume the relationship between them isn't that great. Maybe batman may not be so bothered by the 'hit' as the perpetrators think.

I think Gabriel has bigger issues to worry about he in remand with the judge denying all bail applications. His money is going to dry up pretty quickly

Three masked gunmen robbed Haagen-Dazs at Ellerslie Plaza, Maraval on April 13, stealing $15,791.

At approximately 10.05 pm, the men parked in front of the store and, according to reports, got out of a white Nissan Tiida with the registration number PCN 6598.

They were described as young men of African descent, all with their faces covered. After exiting the vehicle, they walked in the ice cream shop and announced a robbery.

One suspect wore a white vest, black three-quarter pants and slippers. He had a red bandana covering his face and an eyewitness said he had a high, unkempt afro.

The second suspect wore a red, long-sleeved hoodie, black three-quarter pants and slippers. His face was covered by a black bandana. The third man, who was armed with a gun, was dressed in a black hoodie, ski mask, three-quarter pants and slippers.

Suspects two and three approached the cashier, with the third suspect pointing his gun at her. He grabbed the woman by the arms and aimed it at her head.

He demanded she open the cash register, which she complied with and the men emptied it.

A 34-year-old female customer was also targeted. She was frisked and her jacket removed. The man took her fanny pack, which had her ID card, driver’s permit and bank and credit cards. They also stole her iPhone 12 Pro Max, valued at $5,500.

The suspects then fled in the same vehicle, heading in the direction of the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain.

Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact them as investigations continue.

A late-night robbery on Friday has ended in tragedy with the murder of 30-year-old Odelle Lalman-Baptiste, following a series of events that began with a carjacking and escalated into a police shootout.

According to police, around 11 p.m. on April 18, Lalman-Baptiste and her husband, 29-year-old car dealer Mathias Baptiste, were ambushed along Hospital Road in Carlsen Field. The couple had stopped when Baptiste exited their white Hyundai H-100 truck to urinate. It was then that a black Nissan X-Trail with unknown registration pulled alongside them.

Two armed men exited the rear of the SUV and announced a robbery. They stole Baptiste’s vehicle $1,500 in cash, a Samsung Galaxy A05, and an iPhone 16. The suspects then abducted Lalman-Baptiste and fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Freeport police launched an investigation and using GPS tracking, officers from the North Central Division Task Force intercepted the stolen truck approximately 30 minutes later along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway near the Eastern Correctional Rehabilitation Centre in Arouca.

The suspects crashed the vehicle into a drain. During the chase, one suspect reportedly fired at the officers, who returned fire. A man was shot and later pronounced dead at the Arima Health Facility.

Investigators recovered a Glock pistol, a magazine, several rounds of 9mm ammunition, and spent shell casings at the scene. The second suspect remains at large.

The worst fears were confirmed early Saturday when police discovered Lalman-Baptiste’s lifeless body in Carlsen Field, near the location where she was abducted. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Highway escape: Suspects abandon stolen car after Tumpuna Road shooting and chase

Tension flared near Tumpuna Road, Arima, on Monday, May 19th, after gunshots rang out near the NP service station.

Police responded swiftly, and a chase ensued as two suspects fled the scene.

The abandoned vehicle was stolen at gunpoint at KFC in Valsayn minutes earlier.

The pursuit led to the highway, where the suspects eventually abandoned their vehicle and escaped on foot in nearby bushes.

There was another attempt on the lives of relatives of the R&J Cell Tech owners today.

Shane Maharaj, brother of Lisa Maharaj and son of the owner of R&J Cell Store at Gulf City Mall, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt near VMCOTT in San Fernando on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025.

An employee identified as Saleem Abdool was shot during the incident.

This follows a similar attack just two weeks ago involving Lisa Maharaj.

On May 13th, as heavy rain poured near Gulf City Mall, Lisa was ambushed by gunmen in a white B-14 who attempted to run her SUV off the road. At first, she thought it was a traffic accident — until the vehicle that struck her began reversing in sync with her own.

Speaking live with Crime Watch host Ian Alleyne, she described the terrifying moment when one of the suspects tried to open her SUV door. She locked it immediately and sped to the nearest police station.

Two shots were fired, one piercing the driver’s door and narrowly missing her.
