Anyone having issues with websites not loading, connection keeps resetting or getting closed consistently.

Pages are not loading, but the browser will try to reload after the first failure, sometimes it works, other times it just keeps trying to reload the page. Services like GMail constantly saying "lost connection to server". Whatsapp web is constantly sticking and any sites that do any data fetching in the background, always have issues (stale data and frozen pages).

This has been happening consistently over the last week. I still have the Nokia modem/router from back in 2018, and I'm wondering if that's the issue. I do have my own firewall/router (pfsense), but I have since connected directly to the modem to see if things improve (no, it didn't). I also have their WiFi disabled on the Nokia router, so I'm connected directly to rule out any issues in my normal setup.

Did a speed test at Cloudflare during the day and nothing shows up as abnormal, other than not getting my supposed full speeds. Did a test last night, got less than half my expected speeds, 5% packet loss and 60ms jitter. Last night was horrendous, Battle.net was consistently losing connection to servers.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

This had been happening to me in Arima just over a week now and I called them about 4x. Each time they did a reset and asked me to unplug the router and the connection would resume and then about an hour later the same thing would happen again. Last time I called the rep explained there was a break in the fibre cable in Sangre Grande and some persons in Arima were affected because of the decreased bandwidth. She did a reset again and it worked, haven’t experienced any drops since, that’s about two days now.

If you still have their old modem, I suggest you upgrade to their new smart wifi. It's way better.

This happens but the new 803G makes a huge difference in ping. Those big playstation looking modems 844G was utter crap.

I'm getting 66 to hive velocity Miami - Tampa. I think its your modem or the area that's having the issues.

I use to get this and my issue with Digicel is streaming during Peake hours.

Just a warning that you may be jumping into more problems with Digicel. They are far from perfect.

Could be the hardware. Upgrade to the smart Wifi and let them change it out. Better experience, trust me. Connection has been solid for the past couple of months. No lie.

that could be configuration issue. I am yet to get these issues but I have my own router connected directly to the small calix modem.

I suggest you invest in an another wifi 6 router for gaming. It would be worth it.

Don't listen to anyone telling you upgrade to WiFi 6 or 7 router or whatever, or that this is some sort of configuration issue or doing X and Y will somehow solve it none of this will solve anything.

This packet loss issue is a Amplia and Digicel issue apparently they also sharing infrastructure etc as well which is why both can work like dogshit simultaneously

Amplia cannot fix the issue the senior engineer admitted as much to me as well, he said they don't know how to fix it cause they don't know what is causing it and that it has been an issue for years now AND it's also very common with users on their network.

Your only real solution is to switch to another provider. Star Link works really well and FLOW works a lot better than Digicel or Amplia now that most people have moved off Flow's network.
