Hey, why allyuh beatin up on Hammie so??

De man is a first rate racedriver.

The only thing I dont like is all the hype the British Media created around him. I mean, theyve been waiting for another Jackie Stewart or Nigel Mansell for so long now.

They shoulda jess leave the man alone and let him race.
You know, when I really check it out, he problem started when he start checking that Grenadian gyul. He was doing real good up until that point. I heard him say in an interview in the beginning once that he not really looking for woman and thing now, he just focused on his racing. He said he didnt even notice the girls around the track because his mind is too focused on the job at hand. He was rel kickin ass then.

Wha happen now boy???

F1 Drivers In Need Of Therapy

Tuesday 14th October 2008

Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Mass and Fernando Alonso are three drivers in need of counselling right now - as proven by the events in Japan.

Psychologically there's something wrong with Lewis Hamilton. In fact, after the Japanese GP we found out that there was something profoundly wrong with Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso too. Hamilton and Massa's problems seem curable, but Alonso's...I'm not so sure.

For Lewis, he needs to understand that to be overtaken is part of F1 and it's not the end of the world. Though many people are pointing to the fact that he blew his 2007 World Championship chances at the Chinese GP last year, they're wrong. At Shanghai the McLaren team should have brought him in earlier and not put him in the position where his tyres were down to the canvas.

He really did blow his World Championship in the opening corners at Brazil where Fernando Alonso overtook him and he tried to get the place back straight away, ran wide and onto the grass, and his car suspiciously malfunctioned. Suspicious because 30 seconds later and it was fine again, just like Kovalainen in Australia this year.

Had he resisted the urge to take Alonso back, then he could have cruised home to fourth place and the title. The McLaren team are keeping quiet about what went wrong, but in 20 years we'll probably learn the full facts when it's not so painful.

Felipe Massa needs to understand that when you've cocked up and when the world has seen you Rooster up, it's better to claim a misjudgement than blame the person you've gone and hit. That just makes you look stupid.

The camera viewpoint on the Hamilton incident was interesting because Massa's car hits him at such an angle that you begin to wonder if he could ever have made the corner like that. It's the kind of accident and impact angle you see a lot with grudge-filled touring car drivers who just want to use the other car as an aid to braking.

Massa's bump with Hamilton was nothing about getting back past him, there was no way he could get the place back, it was a karting lunge. Like Hamilton, Massa needs to learn to be overtaken.

Had he been more patient, then he would have seen Lewis disappear for a change of tyres after a couple of laps and the opportunity of P2 or even P1 would have emerged. Felipe proved that he had the pace in the car with the two fastest laps of the race.

There's a lot of heat and dust between Massa and Hamilton at the moment, but they are basically good friends and will be laughing about it by the beginning of next season. Their problems are reactive - they still react like kart drivers.

Alonso handles the build-up of pressure a whole lot better, even though when things go wrong there is no-one better at hurling his toys out of the pram. Remember China 2006 when he accused his team of deliberately trying to stop him winning the World Championship because they didn't want him to take the No.1 to McLaren?

Alonso's problem is more long-term and deep-seated. After his win in Japan - which he said was even more satisfying than Singapore - he should have had the winner's glow of benificence. But when asked about Hamilton's unlikely first corner incident punishment (which let's face it, handed him the win) he agreed it was the right decision... without even seeing it.

The Spanish press have even quoted him as saying that after the race he told them he will do what he can to help Felipe Massa win the World title.

Alonso needs therapy to rid him of the grudges he carries. It's not just Lewis he's fumed about. Before that it was Felipe Massa. The post-race European GP footage of 2007 was fascinating as Alonso tore into Felipe behind the scenes for bumping him on track and Fernando was able to tell the Brazilian exactly where he'd done it before. Like it had been burning inside all that time.

After Banco Santander were pencilled in as Ferrari sponsors for 2010 it was widely expected that Alonso would move across after next season. Despite the lengthy wait...nothing happened. And then Kimi Raikkonen signed for 2010.

Now the rumours doing the circuit in the pitlane are that despite his brilliance Fernando is a driver who brings issues with him. Issues that aren't helped by assertions of him wanting to help other drivers win the World Championship - though it does neatly reinforce the long-expressed view that he thinks like a 12-year-old boy.

Sebastian Vettel and Robert Kubica look like far more straightforward options for the future - and they'll both be cheaper. In these credit crunch days Ferrari may be regretting taking on Raikkonen for another 12 months at a reputed $51m.

Alonso is likely to command a similar wage. And he's just a little bit paranoid.

If anyone's allowed to be paranoid after the Japanese GP then it's Lewis Hamilton. Because they really are all out to get him.

Very nice article.

And you can see why I say Alonso is ripe for Ferrari.

Those guys are race drivers. Theyve been doing it all their lives, race drivers are a temperamental bunch of people. Senna was king of temper, Mansell was a drama queen.

You have to remember these guys are the best in the world and they carry some king sized egos, its part of the territory. Its only once in a while you will get a driver like say Jackie Stewart (always a perfect gentleman, on and off the track-why he is my favourite) or Alain Prost, cool as a cucumber and as consistent as Patrick Manning (except in a good way).

The manager who is able to control his thouroughbred best will get the best out of his team.

So far, I think Kovaleinen has one of the best temperaments out of all the drivers out there. He is a very humble guy (some say too humble), when I read his articles he seems almost apologetic for being a race driver. He probably needs more aggression on the track, it has to be the right balance between outright aggression and self control.

"one of my best friday's this season" according to Mr. Lewis.

he wants to " redeem" himself after last weekend, but racing for the title, not by tryong the win the race on every corner, but by realising that there are 2 races, with a 5pt lead, and some quick lessons in math.

oh my, how he has matured in 3 days.

Briatore: Hamilton will throw it away

By Michele Lostia and Pablo Elizalde Friday, October 17th 2008, 09:46 GMT

Lewis Hamilton has not learned anything from last year and will throw away the Formula One title again, according to Renault boss Flavio Briatore.

Last year, the McLaren driver lost out to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen by one point despite having a 17-point gap with just two races to go.

Hamilton leads Ferrari rival Felipe Massa by five points with two races left, including this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai, where the McLaren driver made a costly mistake last year and ended up stuck in the gravel.

Briatore is convinced Hamilton will not win the title this year either.

"In my opinion Hamilton will try again to throw away the title," Briatore was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport. "He and McLaren were good last year already: to lose it with a 17-point advantage with two races to go is worthy of the Guinness World Records.

"If someone gets in the Guinness like that, he can really repeat himself with just five points of advantage. In my opinion Massa will win the title."

He added: "Hamilton hasn't learned anything: we saw that in Japan. He should be told he is an F1 driver, not a martian. He is no Muhammad Ali. He is a youngster who still has to show his worth.

"He's a good driver, but the good drivers are also the ones that bring the results home. There are good forwards in football who always hit the post or the crossbar, and they just can't score. Then there are those who can throw it inside the net, and he is not one of them, for now.

"It's logical for me to root for Ferrari, as an Italian, as Flavio Briatore, and as Renault, for the relationship we have with Ferrari. McLaren, by contrast, accused us of espionage: we went on for four months for a silly thing that didn't exist."

Hamilton takes pole

Kimmi second

Massa 3rd

and Alonso 4th

So in a repeat of last weekend's race in Japan, Hamilton lines up in pole position with Raikkonen alongside him on the front row. After a shaky start in Fuji, Hamilton will be wary of Raikkonen in Shanghai. All the ingredients are in place - again - for an exciting race.

Hamilton tops the drivers' standings on 84 points - five points ahead of Felipe Massa and 12 ahead of BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica, the other men in the title hunt.
