Performance/Gas Efficiency/Modding/Availability of engine parts?

1. there is NO 1-NZE 1.6L.. if it is 1.6L then it is a 3ZZ.. if it is an 1-NZE then it is 1.5L
2. the 1.8L is a 1ZZ-FE or a 2ZZ-GE

i think he meant the 1.6 from the nze cus there is no 1nze either its the 1nz-fe. To answer your question. The 1zz would be the best bet. there is a good bit of aftermarket support in the us and it realy is the most powerful of the 3 options and has great gas milage and well obviously its a 1.8 so it torquier (if thats even a word) than the 3zz and 1nz, but i am impressed with all of the 3.

Also I feel that the 1ZZ will be a better candidate for forced induction as the compression ratio is lower than the 2ZZGE. Also it is a more user-friendly engine than the 2ZZ........and cheaper !
Although there are 2ZZ with blowers, the compression ratio still is 11.5:1 as in the case of the Lotus Exige.

1NZ-FE..correct.. in my hasty typing i was thinking of the frame number ...ZZE vs NZE...
