I do hope that the participants and patrons of this highly unusual and authorized (?) sound-off event, in paying their respects to the deceased, will also show their respect to the surround residence and users of the Savannah and walking-path, by keeping their volume levels low, to not drive on the path, to congregate in an area away from the Grounds participants and to vacate the Grounds once the funeral service is over.

Very interesting, yet very irrelevant and intrusive for a funeral service.

What does that have to do with anything? They are going to make a set of irrelevant and intrusive old noise at a venue that has residential areas close by. Noise is still old noise and we have quite enough of that in the neighborhood already!

as if 12Volts go hear de bass and tap he head? .... steupes.....

yuh is a crunt... when pnm have dey sheit in de park dey, yuh does text patrick? eh?

the funeral and inconvenience caused will only be for an hour or so. so jus chill and take another route.

some inconveniences are necessary cause they serve a greater good. road paving, tint stripping... Ian's funeral.

aR&D is allowed his opinion and cussing out the man is no way to enlighten him and others on the topic. Comparing it to a fallen solider and a PNM parade are weak argument.Really?
My first thought on the matter on funerals is one of respect and closure first for the family and close friends. It's clear he was an integral part of the local movement as SR said so the people within that sub-culture will want to honor him in way they feel fit and that shows how he lived. When you're a public figure the pblic unfortunalte owns you and they are allowed their form to grieve but it's usually separate from the family's.
I think any move on the part of the people to honour him is good but should be done within the boundaries of the law and keeping in mind the inconvenience to unassociated people bearable and to a minimum.

It was really nice to see so much support given by almost all of the diff 'crews' in the local car show industry. Real representation for an icon... And for those wondering bout 'old noise', well it was a nice mellow scene with each person playing a tune, ONE AT A TIME, dedicated to Ian. It was no 'bang out' scene. May God continue to keep his family in this most trying time...
