Question for the box men ...........

Any one ever built a box for a wagon facing the sub upwards towards the hood and had the port firing backwards towards the back door .......

If so how did it sound , what are the advantages or disadvantages ........

i noticed alot of guys in the USA like that sub up / port back setup.. seems to work very well for them..

i had tried it myself but didn't get the results i was looking for.. but note that my test was for SPL purposes..

imo it would be difficult to say which will work best..

it wouldn't be hard to test as an off axis (sub / port) box could be used in multiple scenarios.. e.g. sub up / port back, sub up / port forward, sub forward / port up and sub backward / port up...

bui;d a box and test it for yourself..

i would recommend you keep trying until you get it.......note there are different phase settings in every system ........... what may work for you might not work for someone else especially in gallery setups... is all about trial and error jus as SPL........
