I Give up. Somebody set allyuh minds in good bestcrete concrete.

I never defend anybody from anything. What is wrong is the Police kicking down ppl door and acting like a hit-squad

Wrong is wrong all d time. Anyways we in this backward part of the world like to see ppl abused as long as is a group they agree to hate. I detest any and all crime committed by ppl from these areas but that does not give the police the right to do what they r doing. Nobody seem to get the point that these ppl are fed up of Manning & d police and r fighting back unlike you typers. He Definately cannot win that seat again so who knows change is slowly coming.

I cyah fight back all dem stupid comments above meh nah i gone yes :headbang:

its always nice to think you can give people the benefit of the doubt, but look at the history of this place??

its always been filled with scavangers and bandits.

So why would they change???

they always quick to cry police brutality, yet they DEFEND , protect and continue to HIDE their own bad people.

It is an area known for criminal activity no? Holding up people in the road and other haenous acts have been performed?

if it's true that the ones shot fired upon officers, what were they doing with guns in the first place? I doubt it were escort services...

And somehow I just can't see the police knocking kindly on someone's door and asking them if they are a criminal, if so they are under arrest... it is a risk no? Not like the person will say

"yes sir I'm guilty please arrest me so I could get raped by big bubba and have 5000 pet cockroaches..."

I don't even live in Trinidad and could say that what the residents did was uncalled for... there are better ways to protest... and unfortunately Peter will pay for Paul until the main residents take a stand and help filter out the nasty criminals the way my britta pitcher does cleam my tap water...

But that won't happen... either cause the people are afraid or they probably have some tie to them whether is family, "fam-lee" , firetruck budee, or a returning GAZA-ite (a GAZA yuh say?)

till then I doubt it will change...

^^^ doh start dat fukkery nuh

man, regardless of what was found or why whom was shot (because for whatever reason, we've all suddenly forgotten that we can't take Police statements as gospel OR media reports as factual), I don't see what justifies the Beethamians taking the action that they did.

Lemme see if I could rationalize it...the police killed two supposedly innocent ppl, but REAL innocent ppl who have nothing to do with your situation should be blocked/robbed/inconvenienced and have their property damaged/vandalized as part of YOUR protest?

It still doesn't compute. YOUR version of "innocent" must be avenged by attacking more innocents, right? Police officers don't have families to see about too, right? A wrong corrects a wrong, right?

this is real shyt

They prefer to complain about police brutality than to complain about the fact that they have a disgusting, poisonous "creek" around them...you ever see that thing on the bus route side? They should protest EVERYDAY till their Father Manning fix that. All the money their father spent on the wall to isolate them could have been spent helping them fix the drainage and sewer.

I initially thought they were protesting because it was flooding but alas it was for an "innocent" being killed. They are the ones who created the stereotype that plagues them and what more can you expect from people who are protesting against innocents being killed but are assaulting people who working hard all day and just want to get home.

Some people in the Beetham work hard too and are good people but the majority of the inhabitants bring the good ones down.

which is very true. but the whole existence of the beetham is in question.. and the problems that exist there are textbook examples of many theories you come across in sociology : - about low income areas,, depressed living conditions and population turnover...

yes, many work hard for what they have ans strive to leave the area, but by and large the majority remains,, have kids and repeat the cycle,,, and the ones that leave are just replaced by more from elsewhere.. that area should have been torn down long ago instead of having them old barracks and tenement yard type dwellings around so long ...

these are the problems u face when u have a high concentration of people living in a small area.. its a proven fact... look at maloney and la-horquetta.. in maloney yuh have 21 buildings each with 64 apartments . lets average u have 4 ppl living in an apartment. thats 256 ppl living in one building,, an 5376 total , living in just the buildings alone ,, far less the single units and wafdas... no wonder a lot of them are highly aggressive and territorial... when u create an atmosphere that only breeds discomfort and frustration, you set the stage for human nature to take many down the wrong road,,, yes you provide housing, but lag in education and maintenance in these communities,,, dont provide facilities and opportunities in the quantities that are needed to give the ones who are ambitious an avenue to be productive..... of course it will go on, and on , and on,

how do you even begin to address a problem like that ?

the issue is not beetham gardens per se ,, its bad planning, bad adminstration, lack of vision, and a trail of manifesto butt-fuxx that the people have been swallowing for years on end...

Life in the Beetham is not the everyday life you and I live. You cleared up your statement right there. Some of them have no choice or they are in denial that the place they live in is a squatting playground filled of criminals.
I am sure if some of them could move out they would.

makes no sense trying to argue with ppl who are racial, their minds are set from in the womb, it is passed on from their racial parents, they cant help it. pray for them. imagine in this day and age ppl are wishing other ppl death. hope it doesn't fall on you guys. no wonder they rob you its because of who you are, just how you wish them bad, bad happens to you.

the onyl way to clean up that place is with the help of the GOOD people in there. It has to start internally.
If they are not helping the suitation by turning their bad people over to the authorities then theyare Adding to the problem!

people in that area have been robbing trucks and innocent people for YEARS, and the authorities seem helpless.

Like you ALL forget last year that a TRUCK filled FLOUR bags was EMptied in less than 15 minutes by "4 SUPERMEN" and when the authorities came in to investigate no one seemed to know anything.

How can i feel sorry for them if they are not willing to help themselves!

Obviously you've never been robbed by someone from the the Beetham. Luckily, neither have I. Tell that story to those innocent victims who were probably minding their own business and get rob.

Notwithstanding the events decades ago that lead to Beetham's existence and the types of people that live there and all related sociological issues, the simple fact is, the average Beetham resident will rob/tax/shoot yer kant the first chance they get. And as mentioned earlier, the truly good ones not selling out the bad ones out of fear/ignorance.

I long commit myself to running over any Beetham person crossing the highway, or worse yet looking to rob me. And is not because I have anything personal against them. But bet your current wad of cash on you now they not seeking my welfare if my car stalls on that stretch of highway...how could I possibly and reasonably be expected to seek theirs?
