KT, the second largest mobile carrier in South Korea, indicates that Apple may launch its fourth generation iPhone as early as April.

The KoreaTimes has heard that talks over sales volumes are underway and that KT is set to sell the new devices to its bigger local corporate clients as a "litmus test" in April. It plans to provide the new iPhones to local distributors in June.

"We don't see any bigger hurdle to introduce 4G iPhones here, as legal issues were completely cleared. It’s possible to launch the devices within the first half," a high-ranking KT executive told The Korea Times, asking not to be identified.

"Still, there are some 3G iPhone stocks. But KT and Apple have reached a broad consensus to introduce the advanced models as early as possible," according to the executive.

The 4G iPhones will reportedly be equipped with OLED screens, live video chat functionality, dual core processors, more powerful graphic chips, as well as higher video resolutions and better "still" images. A removable battery is also highly likely.

If this report is accurate, Apple may be trying to counter the rush of new smartphones such as the Google Nexus One device.

TURBOT, thats the root size. Only major/important packages are installed on it from cydia so dont worry about running out of space. Your personal media like apps/music/videos are NOT stored on it, in a way it will be wasted space. I try to get a 500MB partition. So that i have most available to me. I have a lot of extra cydia apps and i still have 100MB free.

Flash has finally made its way to the iPhone via a Javascript powered Flash runtime called Gordon.

The open source Gordon project is being developed by Tobias Schneider. It allows you to load and view Flash .swf files on the iPhone's Mobile Safari browser.

TUAW reports that this is a very preliminary build, that supports just these SWF tags. Also, to make this work, Flash developers will need to encapsulate the SWF into an HTML wrapper, importing the Gordon JavaScript source and then loading the swf

For those developers that must have Flash running on the iPhone, Gordon may soon become a viable option.

You can test out a few demos here: http://paulirish.com/work/gordon/demos/

The 4G iPhone may be available as early as June and include a 5 MP camera, as well as a touch-sensitive casing, according to Goldman Sachs analyst Robert Chen.

“Apple’s going to put a lot of innovation, not just on the hardware, but also on the software of the new iPhone,â€

Its very unsure yet whether they will sport 4G Network support as well.

@Duane, you really think bmobile will release voice support? i highly doubt it. BTW, the new 4G Network they plan to release will it be voice or just as the "3G" EVDO setup they have right now without voice?

@turbotommy, same here. nothing wrong to mine i just wanna know someone just in case.

from what ive been reading, they say tht the term 4G does not mean that it is going to operate on a 4G network but simply that it is the 4th Generation iPhone. The 3GS is more like the 3.5 Generation and the 3G well....i guess thats self explanitory.

I guess time will tell....

Admit it, you've often wondered what you'd look like if someone were to build you out of Lego blocks. Unless you're a celebrity (or a famous, inanimate object) chances are slim someone's gone through the expense and effort to do so. With a firm grasp on your inner desires, Lego has come up with an iPhone app called Lego Photo that re-creates the multicolor, brickscapes based on any photo you've taken, or have stored on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
All you have to do is pick a photo from your library, or snap one with the iPhone's onboard camera. The app then has you touch the screen to turn it into a bricked masterpiece. Tapping it again and again bathes it in alternate color schemes, as well as using a neat wave effect that rolls out the new colors over the old ones. Once done, users can then save the masterpiece back to their photo roll in 840x560 resolution.
While the app is devilishly simple, the Lego fanboy inside of me yearns for a few things in future updates. For one, I'd love to see an actual menu to pick out color schemes. It's often only after refreshing a color scheme twice or more that I want to go back to an older one, which the app does not allow. It would also be great to get it to include more than one size of Lego block into the mix, as the current scheme uses nothing but tiny square bricks.

Here's an example

Location Spoofer allows you to get around all of the location specific locks that some apps put in place to prevent you from viewing content in certain regions, as well as creating a fun utility to change your location to anywhere in the world with the tap of the screen! It does this all while retaining the ability to retrieve your true location, and without modifying any system files.

^^ I highly doubt there will be any additional features for the iPhone in 4.0. Looks more like it is geared towards the iTablet.

I love Rumours

[rant]

TBH, i have a feeling one feature would be officially supporting Multitasking (not just Proswitcher + Backgrounder). I dont think they really too bothered about android. (again im a n00b i dont really know)

Ohh and much more difficult to Jailbreak as well (not that it wont be done).

If people continue along the same lines as they are WRT to the tether JB provided by geohot, i dont think we can rely on geohot and quite frankly i dont blame him.

Every single tweet, even his PS3 tweets, some twat asking about untethered JB.

He's a good guy but when ppl behave like that, anyone would not even have a motivation to release whatever they have.

I just hope ppl hold on to their senses and leave the guy alone when 3.1.3/4.0 releases because if they continue, he wouldnt give a sheit at all.

Rockstar Games' critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars was released Monday for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game, originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2009, has a number of improvements, including multi-touch controls, adjusted difficulty levels, and enhanced presentation with 480x320 pixel resolution graphics. Users can also access Independence Radio, a new station that allows use of custom iTunes playlists.

Rockstar first announced the port of the mobile game last August. The title was originally expected to arrive that fall. It is the latest in the long-running successful GTA series.

Chinatown Wars was one of the best-reviewed games for Nintendo's mobile device. After lackluster sales following the title's debut, Rockstar also announced its intentions to port the title to the Sony PlayStation Portable.

One of the biggest gripes that iPhone users have had about their phone is its inability to render Flash. Speculations about whether or not Flash would be made available to the iPhone are as old as the handset itself. While users have complained about their experience being ruined by the lack of Flash support, Apple has maintained that they have not been satisfied with Adobe's offer for the iPhone.

While the possibility of the iPhone supporting Flash in the near term appears bleak, Tobias Schneider, a Munich based developer has come up with an excellent workaround that will enable users to view Flash on their iPhone. Named Gordon after the Thirties Sci-fi hero, this is a Javascript based project that will help Flash developers bring their projects to the iPhone.

Since this is not an iPhone application and is merely a script, it is not bound by the iPhone's SDK EULA and so can be legally used without any need for jailbreaking or having to void your warranty otherwise. There are a few limitations though. Firstly, Gordon can execute Flash only within the iPhone Safari web browser. Secondly, it requires all Flash files to be embedded within an HTML code and also include a few more lines of code on every page that contains Flash. Thirdly, the Javascript workaround is very CPU-intensive which means it shall drain your battery in no time.

These limitations would mean not too many Flash developers would feel compelled to make the move to Gordon. However, Schneider has open-sourced the project and there is a possibility of other developers fine-tuning the script to overcome these issues in future. Though this might not eventually take off to a great extent, this is nevertheless an interesting project which deserves special mention.
