Now here's Ajamal attempting it... better driver proper car in an anorexically small place to do that crap... and still he could have gone into the section but was smart and stopped the car.

Woman’s leg crushed at Tobago car show
Casandra Thompson-Forbes
Published: 6 Apr 2010

A 21-year-old woman is warded at Scarborough Regional Hospital and listed in a stable condition, after an accident at the annual Tobago Easter Car Show. According to police reports, the accident occurred shortly after 7pm at the Dwight Yorke Stadium car park on Easter Sunday. Reports are that Lhonda Archer, of Mt Pleasant, Tobago, was standing in a crowd during the revving and stunt competition, when a driver of Mason Hall, Tobago, lost control of his modified Toyota Corolla vehicle and came in contact with her. Archer’s left leg was severely crushed.

The woman was taken to hospital via a Fnderwent emergency surgery on Sundaire Service ambulance. Archer uy night and was scheduled to be airlifted to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex sometime on Easter Monday. When the T&T Guardian spoke to Lincoln Archer, the woman’s father, he confirmed that his daughter was slipping in and out of consciousness; was in a lot of pain and the family was focusing on Lhonda getting better at this time. Numerous calls were made to contact the promoter of the car show, but they went unanswered. Scarborough Traffic Branch is continuing investigations.

once the promoter has public liability insurance then he is covered with his responsability to anyone being injured at the show

however it will be up to the police to decide on a course of action with regards to the driver as i had stated before he ignored the calls by officials trying to prevenmt him from going onto the course

there will of course be other implications for all and more stringent measures will have to be put into place if a demo like this is to be allowed to continue in the future

i wondered if that would have been the outcome.
pity though. considering one was successfully held. without any such incidents.
but i guess, some may claim, it encourages this sheit.

i dont see why it will be a show stopper but i know it will now raise a few questions regarding safety etc also

note there were more than a few times when the police were asked to help manage the crowd from being certain areas with little to no results

always seems to be a communication / comprehension problem there.

after a recent event in trinidad, it would seem a drawn plan would improve understanding.

it's just a mentality. I'm sure the assumption will be if one man could be so reckless and injure someone in a small area like that then they can't be sure for an event that will use the entire area.

And they will definately use that to say the sport would allow these types of people on the roads and endanger lives... despite the fact that most of us know better than that.

So how come they (promoter) of the event allowed a front wheel drive car to enter the arena????

wasn't that a part of the show designated especially for drifting:
refers to a driving technique and to a motorsport where the driver intentionally oversteers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining vehicle control and a high exit speed.

Secondly; that area was wayyy too small to be doing drift stunts esp:
with ppl standing so close to the borders of the arena.

THAT IS DAMN SLACKNESS!!!!

now someone has lost her leg because of this slackness.....
Slackness by the promoter for including a motorsport event into a display & audio event, not taking safety into consideration..... and allowing front wheel drive cars to attempt to drift in an area where human welfare is at stake.
Slackness by the driver/owner of the car for allowing this sheit to happen.

:?: :?: :?: people in this country losing their senses.....

LEAVE RACE TYPE EVENTS OUT OF CAR SHOWS -
unless if strict safety precautions are put in place and a
motorsport body is put in charge to execute the event
without any casualties...
