What car this in? Remember he want a system for a Wingroad, not a Primera or B14, (I dunno if, or how different the system is in each car)

streetsleeper2 true with wat he says

wat size u running from front to back?

i`m thinkin of 2" from the extractors to the resonator and then 2.5" to the exhaust..

Ihave it on a primera.
2.25" right through. The 2" would just defeat the purpose of the 2.5

jus leaves room for upgrade

thee max i'd go is 2.5 with some serious mods

correct!

basics...
for a slightly modified system from just few bolt-on upgrades, you should keep with the 2.25" pipe. this is important to maintain a proper exhaust gas velocity to "suck out" the exhaust gases from the headers. go too big and velocity will drop and you wont get as much power. 2.5" is good for heavier upgrades.

avoid as much bends as you can in the piping to muffler as they restrict flow. the straighter the better. try to create as little backpressure as possible. mandrel bends are much better than crush bends and are less restrictive to gas flow. the same for a perforated core, round, straight-through flow muffler as opposed to an offset, oval one. the longer the muffler/resonator, the more noise reduction. gradually move from the header diameter size (probably 1.75") to the 2.25" outlet at the muffler tip. this is also necessary to create suction. e.g. for NA engines, 1.75" headers, to 2" downpipe to catalytic converter to resonator, to 2.25" striaght out to the muffler <--open to correction.

Hmmmm. On what car with what engine?

Chiney wrote:...wat exhaust to u guys recommend for a low tone..not the brap brap effect ??

go with the 2.25" pipe, use a long resonator, go with the perforated core, round, straight-through flow muffler. yeah you will get noise with this setup, but that is the result of a straight flow setup (can't fight that when you want horsepower), but this is where the long resonator comes in. e.g. i think the resonator from the Civics are long and give a nice tone. the resulting system is one that is not as loud and noisy as the others, but also has a nice low tone.

KrAzYBoY, NEO VVL with M6?

what size the headers look like? and does it follow a 4-1 to the exhaust tip or a 4-2-1?
tryin to get an idea of what Nissan was thinking when it was pushed out. like how much room they left for modifications or was the intention to market a "buy-and-drive" beast

mandrel bends.....definitely.

well i ASSUME the loud noise will be due to the wider outlet on the N1 than the inlet.
i have a magnaflow (also straight through) but 2.25 inlet and outlet <- supposed to replace the loudness with a deeper rumble.

will send an update and post a detailed pic when it's installed month end.
