Issues with LG LCD

Postby X2 » May 25th, 2010, 9:56 pm

I just got an LG LCD tv (woot), but after hooking everything up, even going so far as to put the cable thru a protection strip.... the TV does not turn on with volume when watching cable !

The cable box output is sending sound to the amp, so it works, but the TV does not play sound upon startup (cable only)... I need to change channels about 4-5 times (on the TV, not box) and then sound comes back and I can switch back to channel 3 and enjoy.

Any idea if this can be remedied or do I need to take it to the shop ?!?

Bought it at Best Buy in US and brought it down.

I have Flow 'digital' cable.

google the model number and see if other ppl have similar problems.

I bought my sharp lcd in pricemart 2yrs ago.
Only issue it takes 2 seconds to turn on after hitting power but I won't consider it a defect.
Buyers beware, pricesmart has no warranty on their electronics.

Don't they give one yr warranty on televisions? As we're on Pricemart, do they give warranty on their stereos?

Also bought a printer probably a year after and same story.

Probably they changed their policy

Nothing on google and any problems !

It's a bit annoying to have to do this everytime I turn it on to watch the news... or southpark..
