Lola u really didnt like Blair Witch project? I thought it was good, really scary.

Most of these modern horrors simply use sound effects and abrupt cut scenes to scare u but are not really scary.

You could try silent hill also.

Cant stand the slasher genre . blood & guts movies like saw, hellraiser, etc are all priddy shiddy imo ..
What gets me is shiet that can actually happen..

A Haunting in Connecticut (based on a true story )
Darkness Falls (movie started off as kids scary superstition. like what older cousins used to frighten we with long time ....)
Shutter (fellas who say "if a female ghost show up in my bedroom, is she who hadda be worried" .. welll this movie stop me from sayin that..
The Grudge / Ju-on JDM version. Soooo much scarier when u doh unnastan what the fack they sayin.
are a few that come to mind

And the sheit that can actually happen ,...
Any local movie with that Karate man in it .. Men of Grey / Men of Grey II etc..
oh & Panorama with Dominic Kallipersad..

i'm a huge horror fan, just like the thrill after. i watched paranormal activity in the night with lights off, headphones on and volume up. lol waw coodn't walk outside the room without turning on a few lights. recent ones i've downloaded are:

*paranormal activity
*the unborn (had to wait for the wifee to make the baby before watching this one lol)
*the grudge 1 and maybe 2. after that was just stretching the story and not that scary
*Mimic 1
*They Wait (chinese are at it again)
*The Happening (not really a horror but makes your spine tingle just thinking about it)
*The Eye
*Darkness Falls (had me away from the dark at times lol)
*The Ring 1

Some oldies
*The Exorcist (first one with the girl. the rest were blowoffs)
*Pet Cemetery 1
*Amityville Horror
*Poltergeist
*I.T. part 1. never liked the ending of part 2 as it lost the horrification...

and these are on my list to download and watch, no reviews yet:
*case 39
*legion
*splice
*drag me to hell
*pandorum
*inside
*the mist
*ils
*the descent

The Mist varied significantly from the book, the director took some silly liberties.
