agp is an old standard, you might find a 939 with agp, am2 doubted, why you dont just do a full upgrade?

E5200 + g31TM-P21 $1000

sell ur agp and get a pci-e?

wen u say asrock core 2 duo
really u meant an Asrock branded board that supports a core 2 duo processor...

u need to provide a specific model number so we can check out the board for you.

but why stick with ddr1 bro?

there is supposed to be an AM2 board i think biostar branded that supports agp. I wasn't aware of it until HCCA pointed it out to me.

http://www.motherboardpro.com/Biostar-K8M800-Micro-AM2-Socket-AM2-New-Motherboard-p-120.html

i think that is it. U can run a lil 6000+ off it? i not sure.

That AGP card u just bought sadly is your hold back.

ok gracen, from ur comments, u may want to take a look at these links:

http://www.pcworld.com/article/125649-3 ... op_pc.html

http://www.pcworld.com/browse.html?cat=2107&type=4

http://www.pcworld.com/article/203827/t ... ld_it.html

some of them are a bit out of date, but they capture the fundamentals that don't change with time really

Thanks, but i already know how to build a PC, it was built back in 2007 with the following specs:

450 PSU
MSI K8MM-V
428MB DDR Memory~~~~~~Upgraded to 2GB
120GB Harddrive~~~~~~~~ 320GB Harddrive added last year
AMD Semperon 2800+
15" Monitor~~~~~~Upgraded to AOC 19" LCD 2 years ago
Colorsit Case(black version to this but the I/Os are just a bit higher)

Image

Windows XP Pro 32bit~~~~~~~~ Upgraded to W7 32bit

Now recently added a Video Card~~~~~ XFX Radeon 4650

It gets the job done, all i need is a New CPU im trying to source an AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Also two 80mm Fans to cool the the GPU depending on how much more Fan Headers i have available

Image

I don't wana upgrade as yet because im gona be stuck with all these old parts which no one will want to buy and i dont want to throw away stuff thats working perfectly Great.

There are AM2 boards with AGP slots eh, just they use DDR2 memory which not hard to find used.

Example the MSI K9MM-V. Doesn't make sense to stress yourself out looking for outdated parts when you could get something newer cheaper and faster.

However Wizz has a lot of old model boards so you can give them a try.
