10:53 am Update

A second area of concern is located a few hundred miles east-southeast of the southern Windward Islands. Environmental conditions are favorable for this tropical wave to develop, and a depression or tropical storm can form at anytime Friday afternoon or night. However, its close proximity to Venezuela may inhibit or slow development of this feature. Regardless, heavy rain and gusty winds will impact the southern Windward Islands, including Trinidad and Tobago, as well as northern Venezuela over the next 24-48 hours.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

- I quietly mentioned to someone that children had been sent home in town. I showed them the picture with the huge white thing next to Trinidad.

- Someone "overheard", discussions shifted from where tuh buy bess sorrel towhether is a storm or a hurricane (LOL), and who callin dey children.

- Exactly 15 minutes later, boss walks in. We goin home at 1. (Note: We haven't received any communiques suggesting that)

WIN.

ODPM jus message my phone to say "tropical wave intensifying. Prepare for heavy showers and gusty winds over 55km/h from around mid-day and continuing into the weekend. Monitor official updates"

as Robin Maraj say on TTT back in the day:

"Is rain in they mudda arse later"

whether the eye pass over or north, is real real rain in we tail this weekend. As a surfer we monitor the weather etc all the time and we watching this coming for over a week now, is real rain coming.. i hesitate to say, but the most rain we see for the year in such a short period..
