LE means "Luxury Edition"
SE means "Standard Edition"

In the 4x2 trim, there are a couple engines available:

4x2 LE:
- YD25DDTi 2.5T mid-spec, 106kw/121hp, 356nm
(The high-power version which makes 141HP/ 403Nm, 2998lb/ft of torque is only available in the 4x4 manual/auto)

4x2 SE:
- YD25DDTi 2.5 mid-spec
- YD25DDTi 2.5 low-spec (300Nm torque, 105Hp)
- QR25DE, 115Kw, 242Nm torque

The LE comes in both widebody (like the 4x4) and narrow standard body, while the SE comes narrow body only (i.e no fender flares).

LE comes with leather or fabric seats, 6CD or single CD mp3 player, fully powered, etc, while the SE is fabric and single cd only.

I have been asking the same question regarding the SE and LE but have been getting conflicting information from different sales agents. At first I was told both are the same and the only difference was the fogs, side steps and chrome. But as I looked deeper I found differences in the engine specs, body, drivetrain and rims/tyres.

From what I was told locally at N & M

The SE 4X2 comes with
-The Low Spec engine... (300Nm torque, 105Hp)
-They dont have the fender flares as wide as the LE
-They dont come with the side steps, 3rd brake light and fog lamps, and also a painted grill instead of chrome
-There is also a difference in the rims
-They may also come with a 5fwd gearbox

The LE 4X2 has
- Mid spec engine (356Nm torque, 144Hp), (High Spec engine is 174 HP and 403 Nm torque for 4x4 model only)
- They have the full trims (side steps, 3rd brake light and chrome mirrors and grill, Fog lamps)
- They come with the option for leather etc....
- They have the wider fender flares
- They have a 6fwd gearbox

So lighthammer they are selling gas Navaras?

And also isn't there a Calibre model what does that have?
And I heard that N&M was getting some of there Navaras from Sapin. If this is true when will we get the 3.0 V6 model with 231HP

I guess the QR25DE would be found in the service-level trucks, the 4x2 bare-bones low-rider model (seen a couple driving around).

The Calibre model is basically the up-scale version of the 4x2 LE. It comes only in 4x2 with the mid-spec engine, but has leather option and automatic 5fwd gearbox. I guess it's just a badge/sticker.

I was in N&M yesterday, and the salespersons there don't know anything about the V6 models or if they gonna even come to trinidad at all. Or anything about the newly tuned 2.5 YD25DDTi with the 200hp and 450Nm stats that the UK/AUS navaras get.

The Ranger is a nice van, was looking at it myself. However the engine is the older 12 valve SOHC engine rated at 105HP.

For about the same price the 4x2 Nissan Navara SE comes with a more powerful engine and sits a little higher off the ground (with larger tyres than stock).

The 3.0 V6 sounds mad.

The new 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor delivers 170kW/231hp of output inside the Navara, as well as 550Nm of peak torque across a relatively flat curve (from 1,700rpm), as a result of a seven-speed automatic transmission. That all translates into a brisk -62mph time of 9.3secs and major velocity of 121mph, compared with 10.7secs and 112mph from the typical 2.5-litre dCi. Possibly additional importantly for farming, though, towing capability rises to 3.0t (V6).

I wish N&M would get there act together..

Well Smoke. The problem is that if you look at an LE Navara fender, it is one piece, so you will have to buy four new fenders....

Can you buy the chrome grill for the SE aftermarket and would changing the stock tires on the SE break your warranty.
