What do you guys think about a night run? To somewhere we can camp down for a while, maybe do a BBQ or small cook on a beach? If anyone has a portable generator and a projector, maybe we can watch a movie too

OK, it's just an idea that needs refinement, but what do you all think? for later next year of course..

^ you know 3stage, I've been knocking that idea in my mind a couple weeks now, but you said it first.

I wouldn't mind that at all, camping and stuff sounds like a boss idea - even better with movie and all :).

Even if the camping idea don't work out, maybe a beach house near a trail or something...

But like u said, sometime next year.....

One of the aborted runs of 2010 was a evening night run to go turtle watching in grande rivière or mathura... This was supposed to be the run immediately following icacos

It will possibly be attempted in 2011

well you are supposed to be able to get TTPS officers if you put in a request and pay the fee at the station (I think).

as we have learnt, there's no such thing as a 'mini run' :P

I wonder if Carmelita Falls has facilities for 'extra curricular activities'?? I'm thinking something along the lines of hiking.. (mainly since the place may not have much trails to play on..)

Speaking of hiking, anyone ever went to Mathura National Park?

Image

I went Toco earlier this year and stumbled upon this place.. I spoke to some hikers there and they said it has a nice hiking trail, IIRC approx 2hrs walking time..

Image

I'm not sure if the place is driveable, or if we will be allowed to drive on the trails, but it seems like a nice idea.. to promote fitness etc..

Ok now that qualifies as a "mini-run". Sounds like a nice run, to go lime and bring family, etc.

The waterfall bathe-able?
Where exactly and how would you get to the waterfall?

After seeing what happened on the last "paved-road" run", I wouldn't be surprised to see pics of 4x4s parked under de waterfall.

Especially if certain people get their toyos, lol.

somwat narrow wareby our decent/ascent will be in a single file
if yall bringin d wives an kids plz be advised that its only a 5min walk frm d road to d falls but its along som moderately steep muddy terrain, nothin us guys cant handle but wit d fams we'll hv to be a bit mor careful

^^ see, I tell ya' Jhonnieblue catch the trail-fever!
Ever since de man ride with me on the Blanchi-trail, he heart hurtin' to leave the 4x2 Nav behind :).

WHen you getting the toyo's man? I might get the Kumho's... based on their long tread-wear life since I've had them on the frontier (almost 3 years/70,000km's) on them and they still have tread.

I took down the hubs and visually checked them, to me they seemed fine, no evidence of slipping at all.. The next weakest point is the clutch in my front diff, so that's why I suspect that.

I have the original factory Suzuki lock out hubs, so I will test the diff with those to ensure the hubs really is not at fault..

i thinking of the night-run...
That would have to be a good-sized run with a decent amount of diesel heads attending... safety in numbers and whatnot.

Anyone has a generator for perimeter lighting, etc.?
