advice on mids

was d word ppl......i looking for some mids advice

for bass im using 2 12" jl audio W3's ( dual 2 ohm)

and was wondering what to use for mids what brand and what size

i believe the bass speakers are 600 watts each

all comments are welcome

hmm**scratches head**,i was gona recommend some good components(actual "car" audio) since you started it with jl...but not sure if it would keep up with 2 12's

what type of vehicle?
do you have any mids amp as yet?
what frequency your box tuned to?
whats your budget?

what type of vehicle?

the vehicle is an accord and the amps and stuff wouldnt be a problem
and budget wise well i wanted to see what the possible options were and decide from there.

One tends to get a lot of different opinions when coming to music installation depending on who you go by

apart from the "generic" 18 sounds what else could keep up with the bass...because i wanted to find a good balance not too much mids to drown out the bass and then not too little not to throw.

jl w3 are rated at 300rms

so a 600 watt amp at either 2 ohm or 4 ohm will be fine

depending on the type of enclosure used will determin how loud you need the mids

i would recomend a good pair of comps up front and coaxials in the rear in the stock locations


if you are looking at the "pro audio options" then ignore my suggestions

If you want to continue with sq,check out the offer from DE audio or SR...on the other hand,there's beyma,rcf,b&c,faital pro.In my opinion,a pair of 10's of any of the brands stated would do well with that bassline
