CVTC (Continuous Variable Valve Timing and Control) is regarding the engine system while CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) is regarding the transmission

skylinechild wrote:use any transmission oil that meets or Exceeds the nissan matic D specification.- as your manual said. i would recommend Gulf synthetic multi vehicle ATF.
it actually meets the following specifications from Nissan
"Nissan Matic-D ,Nissan Matic-J, Nissan Matic K
"APPLICATIONS:GULF PRIDE®SYNTHETIC ATF is suitable for use where the following
specifications are required:
•Allison
•MERCON
•ATF +4
•MERCON V
•GM DEXRONIII (including II)
• Toyota T-III and Toyota T-IV
•Honda
•Others
•JASO 1A"
read more about it here >> http://nu-tierbrands.com/ckfinder/userf ... %20ATF.pdf
you CANNOT use NS1 or NS2 as these were designed for CVT transmissions.
