McDonald's Re-opening in Trinidad?

Postby jsm1985 » July 11th, 2011, 2:02 pm

I've heard some rumours that they're re-opening their doors in Trinidad...

Anyone has anymore info on this and if its true?

Wendy's and Burger King don't cut it...

Yes this is confirmed. They are buying and looking at building property. They will be doing it themselves this time.

Good to hear then!

I heard that they were opening in Long Circular Mall food court, but I found that hard to believe anyway since it doesn't make any sense.

Was getting tired of only being able to have McD anytime I traveled. If Burger King can make it, i'm sure they can make it this time. 8 years later I think Trinidadians have moved away from the fried chicken mentality and they'll be profitable.

Royal Castle's chicken tastes nasty, their kitchens look unkempt and nasty.. I don't care if it local.

Red Lobster would be welcomed, but Olive Garden would really be heaven... but I heard those 2 franchises especially are too costly to open in Trinidad... $US double digit millions...

folks, why depend on some foreign franchise to get a meal at some high price ?
which btw is generally considered "cheap" economy food from where they come

I can understand the need by many to "fit in" when buying food in a place like movietowne etc but
there are so many other better options if you want a good burger.
