Why the Gov't did not name the national airline Air Trinidad and Tobago like Air Jamaica
And whats up with the humming bird painted on the craft tail. Those Londoners does probably laugh at us...smh. Anyway those planes that they using the 737 looks so used and old you can see the wear and tear in the interiors

Onetime I saw a fat dutch guy on CAL plane already so I wondered if he have to pay for the 2 seats he was this large (making hand gesture) and comfortably took up two seats and constantly eating..If your're poor like me monetary wise you have to endure these foolishness like crying children, fat people whatever.

Firstly, naming the airline that would exclude most of its clientèle who are West Indians and not just trinis. Second I dont know which CAL you saw or fly with but most planes are no older than 7 years old and the interiors were redone at least 3 years ago. This is the first time I heard someone say it is looking run down, I think you are referring to the dash 8. Did you go Tobago?

alongside 'BWIA' ...there always was written 'Trinidad and Tobago Airways' (on those Tristars, etc back then)

Anyone read in the Business Guardian this past Thursday that they scrapped the plans to use Boeing 777 on the re-opening of the London Gatwick route, and instead will be using 2 ex-LAN Chile Boeing 767 aircraft, that are already 12 YEARS OLD?!

What the hell is wrong with them?! I not gonna fly on that crap, I'd prefer a BA777 any day...

You ARE aware that the 777-200s they fly here are just about the same age... right?

I AM aware of this fact. You trying to tell me that technologically and comfort wise, a B767 (that is being RETIRED by a South American airline), is comparable to a B777?

did you buy your vehicle brand new? have you ever sold your vehicle because you wanted to upgrade although it was in perfectly working order? do you buy a new pc every year because the new one has usb 3.0 any you have 2.0?

alot of plans are still comfortable and have adiquate gadgets on them even being 12 years old. maybe it's more economical to get the 767 and operate them.

trust me boss, its not much different. the 767 would be better for us because we cant pack it out like BA does their 777. the flight experience shouldn't be all that different.

I'm sure it is more economical to operate an ageing aircraft like that, but in a time when everyone is retiring these older aircraft, why are we taking 2 on? Trust me, I've flown on both types of planes and I wouldn't want to be on a 767 for 8 hours

12 year old aircraft is not bad... On the whole, any aged aircraft is ok once there is a good and strict maintenance setup, which CAL has...

Also, they wouldn't just buy a 12 year old plane like some people buy used cars;

-They'll research the amount of flying hours the aircraft has for its age

-They'll research whay type of flights the aircraft performed; long distance or short hop

-They'll take note of all the service and maintenance schedules/ checks performed on these aircraft prior to use etc.

9Y-JIL was an ex Virgin aircraft that was over 10 years old and BWIA had it for what... 2 or 3 years? So I don't see a problem.

I flew on the ATR 72-500 recently, the head room is really bad, I hope the 600 is better
