Sponsorship Needed - STRAY DOGS!

Dear tuners,

I would like to kindly ask for any assistance to support a good cause. I reside in central Trinidad (Cunupia). For years now I have been feeding the stray dogs in the village where i live. Its really sad to say people would dump their dogs and also puppies or kittens to a location where the is no civilization and food. I try my best to give them a meal at least once a day so they don't starve. Its really difficult for me because I am the only one working at home.

At present I take care of 21 dogs and two cats. The expense is really now out of my budget. I am asking you tuners to help me support them, I don't need money unless you are willing to, what is needed if you can afford to sponsor the below at any time - I am a hindu and into my religion so I wont cook beef, I hope you do understand.

Thank you Mr. Shivam for contacting me, Your support is greatly appreciated. Your contribution will go towards - spay/neuter, food supplies or general & emergency medical for these animals. I do hope I can get more people involve and all is welcome to visit me in cunupia where its a daily task to take care of them.

its hard to get help from ttspca..trust me...i took in 12 dogs from the streets that i use to feed cause i couldnt stand seeing them in the rain when i wsa heading home......i can tell u one thing i dont regret it......so many dogs out there need help and a home.....dogs with serious mange get transformed with food and hte correct meds...so ppl should adopt of hte street ..give a dog a nice home for christmas...

Good job. I am in the same pedicament. I also reside in cntral. All of my dogs are rescues. I am looking for some good homes for them too. Ttspca should really be a last resort. They mean well butthey just can't handle the overpopulation. If you carry a dog there and the dog even remotely smells badly, it is put down right after you leave. What you need to do is contact the animal welfare network, Sita kurvilla. They are the only group, well besides animals alive, that are interested in saving animals. They are pro-life. They can assist you. As for a vet who you can talk to about getting a good price on spaying and neutering, you can call dr Raymond at 6815301. He can assist. There are also usually spay week where selected doctors conduct spays and neutering for a really low price. Collecting stray animals is a rewarding job but its gets no real support from the general public. Most people don't realise a rescued animal makes the best pet ever. They remain forever faithful and grateful to you.

Thanks for the support, I am also looking for homes for some of the dogs, Just yesterday someone set loose a mother with 4 pups that all covered in mange. In the photo above you will see a black and white female. She is tame and also spaded. I try my bet to get all of them spayed or neutered but some runs away and does not come close enough. They just come for the food when we leave. Dr Deonanan is already my vet. For those who are willing to contribute I have your numbers and will call you later on today. yup, extremely sad in T&T. except in most cases, we just dont dump dogs, there seem to be more and more cases of torture. cats too

i see ppl dump dogs on the val stretch and the guys jsut sit fro weeks right where they were dumped running after cars they think are driven by their ''masters'' this is one of the saddest things to see every fkin day....... i took up so many and every week another ifew are dropped off...
