u have to put this in context of the time eh
Back in europe, people were using Bugattis for banger racing, hauling scrap in junkyards........believe it or not, there was a story about a guy jacking up a Bugatti Type 35 and mounting a grinding stone to the rear axle!
Even Enzo was famous for scrapping last year's race cars for parts for the current cars.....
at some point, an expensive, tired old race car becomes junk in someone's shed...........in those days, there was nothing like the classic car movement......the focus was on tomorrow, not yesterday
