That is a difficult question for a non-botanist without years of experience because Bromeliaceae is a family with hundreds... maybe thousands of species. Under the Sub-family of Bromelioideae you will find a genus of Lymania, of which there are 7 to 9 species. Bromeliaceae has 3 sub-families, each of which could lead you down another branch of the phylogenetic tree and genus and so on.

Back to the genus Lymania, check the species alvimii.
So if I can help you, the scientific taxonomy of that first pic is Lymania alvimii.

I could be wrong, but I really think that's what you are looking for. I looked at the flowers and the leaves and that species matches up perfectly with your picture. There are hundreds more species of the family Bromeliaceae that are quite similiar but with a range of slight variations of flower, stem and leaf.

But where in the rhyme does it say that humpty dumpty was an egg? what the monkey google doodle! :!: :?:
