Without reading the context of the entire article, I would say whoever alluded this statement, "I saw this quote in a magazine yesterday, it was made by someone who was drag racing (successfully) in the US for over 10 yrs, he moved from Drags to Drifting and now in to Circuit Racing." either wasn't a serious racer... or wasn't able to win.
Drag racing from one track to another can be very different. Not every track is dead flat, some can undulate over the 1320... plus different track conditions, temps, humidity... when you get into the really competitive areas of drags, the smallest changes can make a difference.
Other than that... Rally is fun but you never get to see an entire race in person... Circuit, solodex, drag n wind allow you to see skill and machine as one... drags is the adrenaline rush that all men would love... even as spectators... all forms of motorsport will have their fans.
Monster truckin' anyone ??
