Inside seems as roomy as a Tiida.... Toyota needs to do something about the cheap feel of the interior.

Well there are some people (like a friend of mine with a corolla) that carry their vehicles for the first service (the free service) and never carry them back. He has been going for almost 2 years strong and not a single problem, the car still runs (not at it's best and defiantly not as it did when it came out of the showroom) and this is what some people think a "reliable" vehicle is. A vehicle that you can mistreat and not take care of and still starts every morning running on 2 year old oil.

Whereas if I did the same with my Mazda or a VW, I would be facing a lot of problems after 2 years, which is why some (not all) Toyota owners say that Toyota is the best because they can mistreat it and not service it and it would still run. :?

Dat logic!

Dunno I'd take my chances with another brand and service it to run at it's best.

by that same logic imagine all those Toyota owners "not associated with you BTW" who do proper maintenance. If after no maintenance on two year old oil it still running then if you do proper maintenance the Toyota is a best investment, not so??

Yeah but if everyone serviced their vehicles the way they're supposed to then theywould all give you equally the service you deserved

not true there are vehicles that inherently give more problems that others with similar maintenance. Toyota command their resale value over hundai or kia for a reason.

i can imagine a wingle owner expecting 3 years later to have had no major engine problems...

I know a woman who hasn't changed engine or transmission oil in here 2002 Mazda Familia hatchback since August 2010 and it still going (against all my advice mind you). So that's old logic. Most major Japanese brands nowadays will give you the same service with similar maintenance IMHO.

wouldnt mileage have a part to play...suppose she drives the car 3 times a mth...then her oil would still be okay
