If you're gung-ho on upgrading to the iPhone 5 and have a mountain of old accessories from previous generations of the iPhone and iPod, this is the ugly adapter you'll need to buy for all of your deprecated gear. The iPhone 5 introduces a new, and considerably smaller, Lightning connector that's incompatible with every single Dock Connector accessory ever released.
It's officially called the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and is available for pre-order for $29 starting today, while it ships in October. Wait, what? If you were hoping to use your new iPhone 5 with your old accessories next week, that's apparently not going to happen for at least a few more weeks.

SRASC wrote:Apple announced US pricing for the unlocked iPhone 5.
16GB - $649
32GB - $749
64GB - $849
Same as the iPhone 4S, unlike the $50 CAD increase in Canada.

you think that iOS6 would allow Siri (on the 4S) to do what Siri (on the 5) does?

the advantage of the 5 would really be speed since the processor is supposed to be twice as fast as the 4S
just spoke to apple - as of now they don't know the date they will release the unlocked phones - the ones being released are with a 2 yr contract
shandyman wrote:Does anyone know if an Ipad 3 can be tethered to a blackberry curve 9300 on Digicel's 4G network? I am contemplating on taking out a 4G plan with digicel (LINK), but only if I can tether the phone to my Ipad (I don't really like surfing the net on a phone). I would be grateful for some assistance on how to tether it (if it can be tethered that is).
Operating System v7.1 is required for mobile hotspot, and the 9300 model is not supported for OS7.1
So, in short, no
