Picked this up at lucklin & de gangs 20% sale

AR Blue Clean 142P

Image

I think the cashier made a mistake...the sales guy said it was already discounted @ $795

I took some other stuff...think it confuse the sh1t out of the cashier so I got another 20% on the washer...or the salesguy dunno what he was talking bout...anyhow I paid $636 for it

Reviews seem to be decent, I really bought it to wash car/wheel wells.

http://www.amazon.com/AR-Blue-Clean-Ele ... +clean+142

Will try it out this weekend :)

Anyone know if any organisation besides ACL and L&DG sells vehicle lifts?

4 post, 2 post and low rise.

Scissor lifts seem to be more than twice the price of a 4 post so not going that route.

Kinda hard to bring 3000lbs+ through my skybox.

Don't make joke, Pricesmart.com actually has 4 post lifts.

Seriously would NEVER have thought of looking there. Not bad price too.

Those Danmars are hobby type lifts though. Looking for something a little more rugged for semi commercial use.

Will also give Rosco a call if i can find a number.

I have a gator grip, but the space I'm working with is waaaay too small to use it. Even if I manage to get it to fit in the space, there's no room to use a ratchet/handle.

Kinda hard to bring 3000lbs+ through my skybox... Nope, it isn't. You just use the wrong 'skybox' service. (Try ECouriers.)

I had the same "cost" issues about scissors lifts... and not enough room for a 4-post, or even worse a 2-post lift.
I have low headroom in the ToyRoom and at 6' 2" I don't want to crouch under a MaxJax with just 48" of headroom.

Also I MUST have "mobility." We lost our Legacy GT Turbo Wagon in the flood on 11-08-12.
I don't intend to lose another car that way again!

This arrived last weekend. I should receive it on Monday or Tuesday.
ImageImageImage

Using this + portable "A" frames (48"-54" tall axle stands) under each car will reduce the risk of flood damage.
Sanctifier wrote:Access is not as good as a 2-post/4-post lift... but there's enough clearance to remove a driveshaft or exhaust if necessary...
Another option... just lower the lift, leaving the car on the tall axle stands... All the clearance in the world!
I can use this ANYWHERE in the ToyRoom and still have 72" headroom outside for steam cleaning the engine and under-body... and I'll just roll it out of the way when I need more room... Works for me! 8-)
Sanctifier wrote:For those who also have limited room to spare but no floods to worry about, this may be another option...
"2-car" parking in "1-car" space... and full underbody access as well. (Those are removable "drip trays" in the pic)

Don't know much about ACE... but WILTON vises (especially OLDER ones) are excellent!... Try eBay! (Cheaper.)

u take DIY on a whole new level!!!... Thanks for the compliment but I haven't really done anything important yet.
Project #1 is in the "preperation" AND "goin' broke" stages right now. I'm buying A LOT of really cool (IMHO) equipment.

^ read that thread... This one (starting Jan. 2013) might be a little "over the top" but maybe you'll find it interesting too.

BTW the C-O-L Frame Data Manuals... Car-O-Mech... M900 and Tram Gauge mentioned are already here.

I just scored the Car-O-Liner frame machine (Page 2.) It should be shipped in a couple weeks. (I hope.) :D ...
...Image
It doesn't have a scissors-lift option ($$$$)... but the other lift will help here.
These will make the 'build' a hell of a lot easier and more accurate too.

This is what a Car-O-Liner looks like in action...
