I got an iPhone 4, it came with a usb charger cable.I charge it with my computer. When I go to mycomputer should I see it the same way as when you use a flash drive/memory stick? or do I have to get another cable?

Make sure it's a data&charging cable like the stock apple cable

It won't show like a flash drive. U need iTunes to interact with the device

it shows up as a media device with access to the DCIM folder. Unless your 3G was jailbroken then you'd see the full root access (with a tweak installed too of course). Otherwise iTunes files transfer for it.

BTW, pios... if all you wanted was to extend your range, why didn't you go with an el cheapo router, slap DDWRT and make it a bridge?

Well already have the linksys donkey yrs now andd well i had the airport express some months now for the purpose of using airtunes on a seperate stereo system but I scrapped that plan...now thinking I could use it to extend my range somehow

Ohhhoooo. I wanted AirPlay on the cheap and ended up skipping the idea and went ahead for an a2dp receiver instead. Streams music via Bluetooth and will work with non-apple devices. It's <20$ for em if you still want to go that route. But the airport express is kinda useless for your needs sadly.

I believe you can put ddwrt on that router as well if you're bored.

Bluetooth can't support high def or high bit rate audio and it can't do video - but AirPlay can!

Do not under estimate the power of Airport Express.

I want to get one. Want to settle down to a quiet life free from file sharing servers, proxies etc and relax like rest of you Apple fanboi's :D

boar Dan a2dp is nuf for my needs. U feel I rocking Dolby in d car too.

Truth be told though AirPlay is such a fine piece of tech. You'd truly need a device such as an apple tv to properly utilize it. I hoping MHT or the other "open" protocol takes off so at least android could have this too.

Anyone know if people have stopped getting iPhone 5's without scratches from the box? Some people are now reading up on the world news of iphone 5 being sent from factory sealed in box and they have scratches and marks on them. Apple says its normal :S

^^^

It was due to poor quality control. When the first batches were released, it was a very common issue.

Theres endless articles, reviews and sites that talked about it. Apple says its normal, bcuz they fail to understand that its RIGHT OUT OF A SEALED BOX there are scratches. To me, it sounds as if they think people are scratching it by saying aluminum is more prone to damages very easily.

I read about the devices being scratched with use etc hit directly put of the box seems a little far fetched.

^ you have to send your device to them to have it treated with the Liquipel and then they send it back to you.

Thought about it but after all the shipping costs involved it works out much cheaper to buy a lifeproof case if you're that worried about water damage.
