Product Review: Ultra Racing Rear Strut Bar

Postby Big Z » November 13th, 2010, 8:52 pm

Vehicle: Suzuki Swift Sport
Year: 2009
Product: Ultra Racing Rear Upper Strut Bar

Initial impressions:

As opposed to the front upper strut bar, you notice this one first when going over rough road. Rear end of the car feel lots stiffer.
A few spirited corners and the improvement in chassis stiffness stands out like a yellow SSS in a sea of boring B14s. The rear of the car now stays much flatter while cornering. Response and handling of the car is significantly improved.
The snap oversteer common to these car now seems to be progressive oversteer and is totally and easily controllable.

So the list of chassis related improvements to be done now stands at:

1. Fender braces
2. Lower H frame
3. 19mm rear sway bar

And the list of completed chassis related improvements:

1. Front upper strut bar
2. Rear upper strut bar.

Verdict: Highly recommended. Definitely worth more than the investment.

I remember Ignorant Ignis had a nice little thread about these strut bars and ho they work. I'll try to find it.

^there is a lot of aftermarket support for that car pal. Maybe you can pm Ignorant Ignis and see if he has anything for it.
