JL amplifier manual states the warranty is 2 years if purchased from an authorized dealer and 3 years if installed by said dealer using JL products. When I purchased mine I was told that the warranty is 30 days as nobody really warrants amplifiers in Trinidad, and that if something should go wrong we would..."work out something".
About a year after purchase I asked if they carry the plugs for the amplifiers as they are difficult to remove and as such suffer cosmetic damage. I was told that they don't carry it and would not be able to order them.
Conversely the Arc audio dealer provided me with exceptional service after purchase of even a "cheap" amplifier, when i was having install related problems.
I'm certain that the JL dealer would provide service in the event of a major problem (like a DOA) as they have a reputation to uphold, but they mostly rely on the rock solid JL reputation for quality.
I'm also certain that the Arc Audio dealer would provide after sales service for both major and minor issues.
Both statements above are discounting damages due to user error.
Bottom Line:
Both products are great.
Buy whichever fits your install needs.
