South Korean workers fleeing North Korea w/ pics

Around 175 South Korean workers have been forced to pack up their belongings and leave a group of jointly operated factories in North Korea after tensions continued to escalate between the two countries. The workers piled tools and finished products high onto the roofs of regular passenger cars as they evacuated as quickly as possible.

North Korea says the ongoing talks with its southern neighbor geared toward keeping the factory complex operational were "deceptive" given that the US and South Korean armed forces continue to practice joint drills nearby. South Korea, meanwhile, was concerned that workers could be deprived of food or medicine if the situation continued to sour.

The evacuation has placed the future of factories operated jointly by the two countries into question and marks the most significant casualty of the continued degradation of relations between the neighbors. It is unclear when or if the facilities will reopen.

Only Japan and Hong Kong is RHD in that part of the world. (Far East Asia)
Hong Kong, being a special administrative region of China who drives LHD can lead to problems between the two when moving from mainland to island and back.

Hell, I didn't even know they had a toll both at the border.
You learn something everyday yes.
The way I see it, S. Korea avoiding the chance of anything escalating.
Because if N. Korea go to far, USA have an excuse to ress a hurry hand on them and that will affect S. Korea.

Doh underestimate the power of 3M pressure sensative tape...next time you fly in a plane look for rivets...doubt you see any as they use double sided tape now.

Anyway, notice the man in the 2nd and 3rd pic, why his car laden with brand new empty bags while everyone else seems to be transporting personal goods (except for the ladder man, I feel he have a fetish)

Because if N. Korea go to far, USA have an excuse to ress a hurry hand on them and that will affect S. Korea.

Looks like the training exercise the US had in the region, plus China having a lil "talk" with N. Korea, after the US Secretary of State visit, have the N. Koreans boiling down a lil bit. At least for now.

Looking at it again, that look like people going to sell goods at a market ans plenty of them have mutiple units of the same items on their car...or just bulk-buying from one country to sell in the next.
