Four different news stations gave different accounts and none were remotely close to what the OP stated, one stated she was walking down the road with relatives and got shot by stray bullet, another claimed 2 men were arguing and she got clipped in the chest leaving the bar.........

now got some more info, this happened about 3-4am this morning, she had an argument with someone in the bar and while she was sitting having a drink, someone came in and shot her once in her hand and once in her back, she bleed to death at the scene.

and allyuh does be quoting newspapers and d media as fact when allyuh posting..

Stray bullet kills Chaguanas woman

A bar brawl between two men early yesterday morning resulted in the death of a 24-year-old Chaguanas woman after she was struck by a stray bullet. Police said Harilah Archibald of Edinburgh Gardens died on arrival at the Chaguanas Health Centre after she was shot in the chest while walking along Railway Road, mere metres away from the Chaguanas Magistrate Court and police station. Reports stated that around 5 am, two men were engaged in heated argument outside Tracker’s Bar which turned into a fight.


One of the men whipped out a gun and fired a shot at his opponent which missed and instead struck Archibald. Both men ran away after the woman was shot. Up to yesterday a party of officers led by Supt Johnny Abraham was pursuing the suspect who has since gone into hiding. Officers of the Central Division Task Force searched the suspect’s house and came up empty-handed, but are confident that an arrest will be made soon.

Archibald’s death follows the murders of Nigel Gordon whose blood-soaked body was discovered on Friday; Waterloo mother Jassodra Baksh who was strangled; and Chaguanas teenager Renaldo Dixon who was stabbed to death while at school last week. The murder toll as of yesterday stood at 155 for the year. Gordon, 28, of Las Lomas was identified yesterday by his relatives.

According to reports, Gordon and his killer were aboard a green band maxi taxi on the Curepe to Chaguanas route when they began to fight. Several passengers who became afraid stopped the maxi taxi and both men got off and continued fighting. Police later responded to a call that a body was seen lying on the pavement of the Cunupia Main Road and on arrival found Gordon’s body in a pool of blood.

Inquiries are continuing.

PATRONS liming at a bar in Chaguanas early yesterday had to scamper for safety when a gunman opened fire killing 24-year-old Havilah Archibald, a supervisor at Xtra Foods Supermarket in Arima. No one else was injured in the shooting and police detectives are yet to make an arrest in the killing.

It was the second killing in Chaguanas within 12 hours. Nigel Gordon, succumbed to stab wounds following an altercation with another man in a maxi taxi on Friday evening in Enterprise. A suspect was detained and is assisting police with their investigations.

In the killing of Archibald, police officers said that at about 5 am yesterday, the deceased was liming with relatives and friends at Traxx Bar located along Railway Road, Chaguanas, when tragedy struck. In full view of patrons, the gunman opened fire killing her instantly at the roadside. The woman sustained two gunshot wounds to the head.

A police report stated that prior to the shooting, Archibald and other patrons had an altercation following which she walked away. Archibald, of Old Southern Main Road, Edinburgh, Chaguanas, was about to enter a car when the bullet struck her. Patrons who were at the bar as well as those at another nearby bar (De Kourt Bar) scampered for safety as the male assailant made his escape during the melee.

Emotional relatives yesterday denied that Archibald was involved in the altercation at the bar and added she was “simply at the wrong place at the wrong time.” A relative, who did not give his name, added that she was not a regular limer and it was a stray bullet that killed her. Snr Supt Peter Reyes, Supt Johnny Abraham, Insp Wlliams, and a team of other officers visited the scene and cordoned off the area as they searched for evidence. Sgt Toolaram is continuing investigations.
