B16A-Help

Postby keepwalking » July 12th, 2013, 11:58 am

I'm Fustrated,

A while back my SiR(Local 1998) began to stutter and my tack went dead, it ended up being the distributor so i changed it (Foreign used) car started and run for a while and the same thing happen to me again.
Car stalled i felt lost of power rpm fluctuated and the tack would go dead the pick-up go dead until the car would cut off, this would happen to the point where the car won't start just tumble, changed the distributor again, car started ran fine, guess what the same problem.

What can cause other than the distributor, am under the impression there is a short causing the distributor to blow

Any thoughts ?

^ goin through the same thing

Were any of the replacement New OEM Dizzy ?

If not that is your problem any used dizzy gonna be over 12yrs old

the only 2 things that cause your problem are the Coil and IGNITER

If u do not replace with a NEW OEM .. note OEM not a "Ebay mess Dizzy" and keep replacing with a used the problem will resurface

I tried the Ebay New and was a mess after a year the coil is starting to get weak
