a stainless steel 3.5" exhaust i made...sorry for the phone pics :| ...just a hobbyist 8-)

rsz_iphone_pics_718.jpg

This is the original 3" exhaust done by Specialist Muffler in galvanised mild steel...

iphone_pics_741[1].jpg

I had bought mandrel bends but the radius of the bends were too large and wasnt clearing the firewall..so i had to make a pie-cut bend...calculated the angle to cut the tubing to make a 4" radius bend...

iphone_pics_762[1].jpg

The downpipe had a couple things to clear as well...the wastegate and the transmission crossmember

iphone_pics_766[1].jpg

midpipe tacked up

iphone_pics_774[1].jpg

downpipe tacked up

iphone_pics_785[1].jpg

This is what happens to stainless tubing if you dont purge the inside with shielding gas...When it is purged it looks like the weld that you see further inside of the tube...flat and clean...i could not weld the flange joints with the purge gas because the duct tape used to cover the ends was melting with the heat...but being on the ends it is easy to grind flat.....

everyone says that, but what kinda price tag we looking at?

post your prices with work you got done or just estimated and never follow through actual job

Very very nice MG Man and ImmamurA

I've been waiting a couple months on my Toxicfab v3 stock replacement manifold for the 4G63 in the evo. Collin@Toxicfab does immaculate work. He recently moved his shop so he's a little behind on customer orders but it's worth the wait:

I want some high rise headers for the 22R-1 in Chelsea.
Need to do it in SS one time so that I wont have to replace after a year or two.

This will be a custom build so I will guess major price will be called.

We will see...

Something like this:
