Duane I may have spoken too soon about iTunes Radio. Seems like they jus have it open right now to developers as part of the betas and GM cos I drove for about an hour using it and haven't heard a single ad as yet.

So I guess once iOS 7 releases to the public they'll implement the US only thing and we'll need to use a VPN to access it...

Margins probably. Why not make more money by cheapening the body a bit but selling it at the usual one year old price. 5C would likely get larger margins for Apple than selling the year old I5. 5C was never about third world it seems to Apple. That was more speculation from "analysts" whose predictions should always be taken with a grain of salt. The 4s I guess could be now for 3rd world as it is still for sale at a cheaper price.

I will never buy that 5 C rap...

I think a lot of people still prefer the 5 over the 5c

shouldn't the resale value of the 5 go up due to scarcity and preference?

Raptor 5S gold 16... price please when available

Different market. There are some people who won't be able to afford the 5s but will be able to afford the 5c

Now Samsung can compare their plastic phone to a plastic iphone lol

i think i posted about it earlier in beta 1. Can't remember if it was here but it worked well for me also without VPN. I got "ads" though but it was more along the lines of something saying "thank you for using itunes music etc." and not an actual ad. I want to doubt they'd do that US only thing. Google Music subscription works fine one you use a VPN to pay for the subscription. I trialed it when it came out. I really wished I kept it though for 7.99. I lost the promo :(

I sincerely hope not. Only in Trinidad can an old, discontinued version of something actually go up in value.

if that was true then Apple would not be one of the most profitable companies in the world.

...wait so you guys think MOST people buy the IPHONE for functionality rather than design?

It would go against "logic" since most of us here are tech guys but we are being realistic. The average user isn't going to watch the keynote on the apple website, my wife doesn't want to know what is a retina display..

Most people buy the iPhone for one reason. It just works. It has a purpose and it does it every time spot on. I never have to worry about killing apps because my phone slowing down. And wondering when my phone will get the last update because I have to wait for my custom bloatware.

She doesnt need to. She just needs to know that it looks great when she is using it. `

Apple has been very well known for making great hardware that just works very well. An OS that works for people who are not technical and works for people who are technical and want to do more complex things.

If anything Android is the more "confusing" OS for non-technical people. Just to install an app on Android, verifying the permissions can be a task for non-technical users. Play Store asks the user to verify that the app can modify storage, network connections, system tools, battery access etc..
Samsung had to create an "Easy Mode" for their phones for people who found the OS too complex. I'm sure this just bypasses the technical stuff making it dangerous for the end user in terms of privacy and access to their device.

Apple instead puts this burden on the app developer. App developers have alot more stringent guidelines to follow to be approved by the AppStore than with Google Play. I know this because the TriniTuner app was approved in a few minutes on GooglePlay but we had to implement alot of best practices and ensure user safety to get approved by iTunes AppStore. Approval took weeks, with alot of back and forth with Apple.

Not just for the iPhone and Mac. If you've ever used an Apple router you'd see how easy it is compared to a traditional Linksys or Belkin. It just works and most people forget they even have it! Of course it can do all the complex things including setting up itself as an extender, but even that is easy to do.

There is also a reason why the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are usually voted best ultrabook and laptop respectively by CNET etc

All the play store does is show what permissions the app changes when installed. I don't even read that and just hit accept. If that is too hard for iPhone users then all I can say is wow...

disagree totally with this one...how many iphone users use the out without a case just to show off the appearance?? most users put the phone in a protective case which hide most of the manufacturer design.

The technicality and terminology of the process for the user to go through is why I mentioned it.
