accident at maloney intersection, 16/03/14

Postby speedmelter » March 16th, 2014, 1:43 am

coming home from a little lime, there seemed to be a terrible accident at the Maloney intersection.

one car which looked like an AD wagon was on total fire, several bodies laid across the highway in anguish, a mitsubishi l200 with a massive indientation to the front, a toyota hilux in the drain with massive collision effects containing occupants screaming for help. to my dismay when emergency services arrived, they seemed to care more about putting out the fired of the unoccupied ad wagon than to attend to the wounded. i hope none of the injured succumed, it was a terrible sight and feeling to hear people begging to tell their loved ones that they love them and wish they can get out of the pain. one thing was for certain, due to the massive damages, im certain the accident happened due to at least one fool speeding and possible crossing the median (a couple poles were knocked down). may this be a lesson for all.

Emergency services first responsibility is yo protect themselves. Putting out a hazardous fire would be in their and everyone's interest.

this accident opened up my eyes quite a bit, i generally speed on that stretch, pretty nice stretch to gun it. no matter how much confident you may be in yourself and your car, you can never tell what jackass may run the light or cross the median.

from listening to the folks talk they said a bike was involved, saw no signs of that though..

Wow...when ppl gonna learn?

Apparently there were several accidents last night.

Saw a four car smash in the vicinity of solo factory about 11 o clock. Of course it's because ppl driving like idiots, speeding, switching lanes, trying to race others drivers. But they wont ever learn, they would just have to feel. It's just unfortunate when innocent drivers also have to feel.

Whilst I agree that speeds causes accidents most times, I must make mention that the east bound lanes by Solo are so rough and bad that if you don't hold your steering wheel firmly, you can change lanes without even knowing........I experienced this for myself recently. Good thing I always have both hands on the wheel whilst on the highway and am not a lover of speeds over 100k/h......

I am sure some of you would have observed this as well at the Solo/Courts area ?

yup... also several areas westbound.. namely approaching piarco and macoya you need to grip the wheel with both hands.

One of the accidents that claimed the lives of two ppl last night or early this morning ..... Now seeing the survivor had posted on FB approximately 9 hrs ago....."free drinks at Zen Night club" and tagged himself and the two other persons who died in the accident.

Anybody riding in the tray of a speeding pickup driven by a drunk driver deserves whatever they get for their stupidity
