Does anyone know what species of plant this is? Bought it in the pet store and just planted it in the tank. Haven't been able to find it online either. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Copy of submersible pump barrel.jpg

1 - settling tank where all overflow goes first
2 - buffer tank - all overflow from settling tank passes through oyster shells. Some settling occurs here also
3 - 55-gal barrel with 1800 gph submersible pump recirculates water to tanks via pvc piping
4 - active 200 gal reserve (open valve) for submersible pump connected at floor level by 1-inch pipe
5 - pipe from 600-gal reserve tank (closed valve) connected to both pump barrel & 200-gal active reserve tank.
.
when a water change is done, a simple opening of the 600-gal valve lets clean water directly to pump intake. overflow water is simply discarded from top of pump barrel. Amount of water change is simply calculated by thirds of the 600-gal reserve tank emptied into pump barrel.
N.B.
further water reserve is an underground 15000 gal cistern (rainwater from house roof) pumped into system, either directly or into 600-gal reserve tank.
.
there are 12 tanks in all which are connected...few more separate...
.

Re Red Cap and Orandas . There is a fish guy in the bamboo. The quality and lack of diseases in his fish are good to great . He located on one of the last streets on the right . I have two sizable ones I grew from him with other smaller Orandas . An Oranda that is total length 8-9 inches and body only at 5 or so inches and a red and white Ryukin of similar proportions

Sounds like it needs a dose of rock salt may have parasites. I agree with kl122 Bllodworms or Brine Shrimp to perk him up.

Remove him from the tank, and put him in quarantine with an air stone only, he's becoming the runt in the tank which is normal, but u don't want him to weak in that stressed state. Discus although not aggressive will usually have a pecking order in the tank.

Where can I get the bloodworms to buy? And the question is should I leave him in the tank? The tank only has the three juvenile discus and a clay pot with an amazon sword, sponge filter and airstone. I have a planted tank but I doubt he will be able to compete with the tetras for food. Also they not chasing all the time it's just occasionally
