Dont think its a salamander as they are amphibians and so semi aquatic. It looks like a skink of some description probably the Trinidad skink (bronze skink) as they are the most common of the 3 recorded species...i not no expert though.

In grande they are called 24hrs, don't know why.

I myself wana noe what is that...it have real plenty up in the east,I see that sheit scale and wall and make ah glide,i coda sheit myself yes.

different times of the day they change colours and adapt to their surroundings...once I saw that same lizard tingy opee posted in bright friggin green....no it was not an iguana.

There's the silver skink and the gold skink. I think there are other species out there also, all under the scincidae family of lizards. Don't see them much again.

I hope you dont see them around much as they arent found in TT.

any rodent is up for grabs these days and them things quite often 'float' across with the weeds from Venesuela, Joker et al just collect them when they out fishnin

Stock replenished ...3males 3females.
However not a choice meat.

I had it some a couple ago, & it was nice, & then another time not so much, but still alright. When I asked around I was told by locals the taste of the meat depends on a few things, like age, sex & how stressed the animal was before or at time of slaughter, as well as cooking method.
