Does anyone know how to get apps to work through a proxy (if there is a way)? FaceTime, iMessage, Skype, Facebook etc all not connecting through the proxy. Safari, Chrome, AppStore & 3ne2nr mobile working normal though.

^system apps would work assuming the proxy allows those ports. Eg. Safari would. I'm not sure about mail etc.

third party ones won't unless there is a section to enter the proxy. Strange that 2nr app works. I recall in UWI, the appstore app and safari would work but that was it.

I thought was strange that tuner works. & I don't see a way to change port for third party apps. Guess I just have to sour while connecting to this wifi.

A 13" MacBook Air with the 1.7Ghz processor and 8GB RAM can handle Photoshop and Illustrator quite well.
The new Air handles HD video editing in iMovie alot better than you'd think and that is far more resource hungry than photoshop and illustrator.

Granted, the Pro would be faster, the Air is capable and ultra portable.
The Retina is nice too.

From your workflow and the fact that the sleekness of the Air is a major attraction for you, I'd say get an Air with the 1.7Ghz processor and 8GB RAM - harddrive space is up to you. IMO 256MB is fine and you can add an external thunderbolt or USB3 drive for data storage.

Actually been available for several months, though it's seems to be select people to get the right APN settings/get it to work. Still trying to figure it out myself, though it may be used very little.

dion there are skyboxes that ship to tobago.
buy your macbook on amazon/apple and ship directly to you.
no taxes/vat on laptops, only shipping. you will pay around 200tt in shipping.
i strictly buy laptops online. i dont trust local resellers too much with warranty.
returns are easy but only had to do it once for a recalled laptop.

yeah i deal with ezone, bought my 5s directly from apple and got it delivered to me here, i was just weighing my options in terms of iworld, thought they would have offered the same quality and service like the apple stores in the us. right now i think i'll go with the macbook pro with retina 13''.

one question tho, if i order directly from apple and a problem arises would iworld honor the warranty or i'll have to return it to an apple store?
