Well iworld is an authorized apple dealer. Now whether or not they honor the warranty and decide what is defective/not would be left to their discretion and u know how lovely customer service is here.

Maybe someone has dealt with them and can chime in.
I know for a fact if u order from amazon. U have a 30 day return window where if something is wrong amazon will pay return shipping.

I would go the online route. If I have a warranty claim I would ship back with ups to apple. Ups comes to your house and collects it. In two-three days it reach. And when it comes back in no taxes. And best of all u bypass Trini bs.

Apple stuntin' as usual...

Apple reportedly poaches Tag Heuer sales director for iWatch

The luxury conglomerate LVMH, which own brands as diverse as Louis Vuitton and Hennessey, has reportedly lost an executive from its Tag Heuer watch division to Apple. The news comes from the head of watch brands for LVMH, Jean-Claude Biver, who told CNBC that Tag Heuer's sales director left for a "contract" with Apple. Presumably, the executive will be tasked with helping launch Apple's upcoming smartwatch.

This isn't the first time that we've heard rumors of Apple's attempts to recruit Swiss watchmakers. In March, the Financial Times reported that several Silicon Valley companies, including Apple, were targeting employees of luxury watch brands. Biver himself had named Apple in March, telling a Swiss publication that "Apple has contacted some of my employees – I saw the emails personally."

It could be a sign that, unlike the Pebble or even the initial Android Wear smartwatches, Apple intends to capture the high-end of the nascent smartwatch market. The latest iWatch rumors have it set for an October launch and it may come with multiple designs and a giant pile of sensors designed to monitor your health.

This was to be expected this is apple the Iwatch will not look like the cheap Samsung gear watches.
Apple products thrive on a premium look and feel meant to sit on the wrist of people who like luxury not tacky. Tag also promotes this ethos so this was a good move from Apple.

It doesn't matter where the product ends up. Amazon will reimburse the shipping costs if there is a manufacturers defect in the first 30 days after purchase.

Bought a laptop from amazon a few years back, had a defect. Notified amazon, printed shipping label and ups picked it up. In two days it arrived at the returns center in nj I believe. Two days later they confirmed it was defective I was refunded shipping cost and cost of laptop.
Was also offered an exchange but wanted a different model.

Yeh amazon has been good with returns in the past.
I bought a graphics card once,
It would not boot up I contacted them they sent a replacement, and told me to keep the defective one. The "defective" one actually started working somehow and I ended up with two 600usd graphics cards for the price of one :)

they will once the item is sold by amazon..if it's an item sold by a seller, they don't honor it (from experience)

Sadly I've always had the bad luck with a 3rd party seller. Most you'll get back is 30% without return and 100% with return with u paying the return shipping to Miami.

You guys think it's worth buying a 5s right now? I'm going up to Miami for some training end of the month and I really need a new phone my iPhone 4 is showing its age now. I was planning on buying one for myself and one for my girlfriend I know I should wait for the 6 but would I actually be able to get my hands on one before January?

Buy the 5s.
In Sept-Oct when the new one comes out, give it to your gf and buy a new one for yourself.

I am in the same place with an iPhone 4, which would not see any updates. With the potential for a new device to be costly later this year, buying a 5s now wouldn't be a bad thing IMHO. Even a second hand 5 at a reasonable price isn't a bad way to go.

Apple reopened their unnoficial eBay store selling refurbished iPhone 5 withhold one year warranty this week the price was $450 or so I think.

I was "lambassed" before for telling people to wait, but this rounds you're better off waiting. If iOS 8 announcement wasn't enough, I don't know what else would be. It paved the way for a sweet new iPhone (hopefully). Unless you're rich af as PapaC suggests and give your gf the 5s when the new one drops. Judging from the fact that you don't upgrade often, it would be a sad feeling to own a year old device come sept/oct when the new one is announced.
