Costing?

Postby sublime » August 13th, 2014, 7:05 pm

Just looking for some info, if anyone can shed some light it would be much appreciative, if you purchase a car from uk valued at $460,000.00 TT with a 5900cc engine, what would it cost to have it on the road? Thx

Someone must know the rate per CC... I think it might be around $33TT per CC... so about $194,700 if that is correct... plus other fees and taxes... I'd assume you will pay about the same price as the car, in duties and taxes....

Feel light headed yet ?

Yup the MVT fee is the killer lol That's why most foreign used car dealers bring in vehicles under the 1998cc bracket or else the landing costs come up to the same value or even more than the vehicle itself

go across and put in a b14 engine then ship it down, ship the original engine separately and then in trinidad after registration reconvert it back to its original state.

I thought MVT was calculated as

5900 x 50 x 75% = 221,250
