did'nt need to change brakes yet, just the air filter and aircon pollen filter in addition to the rest!
The tech did say that there was ever so slight rough engagement of the second gear from first, so they will keep an eye on it. I have not noticed it tho.

Probably a more sensitive tech from the one who put "problem not experienced" w.r.t the big ass D2 judder I asked them to check.

I have , after 26000 miles and at 40000 I changed both front and rear .
The first time I replaced the front with original vw which cost $900 and the second time I used bosh for front and rear which cost $886 total. Note labour not include because I can't remember.
the Bosh made some noise for the first 200 mikes which eventually stopped I find that they are not as crisp as the the OEM but the get the job done considering the price.
Note the last quote I got from Massy was $1300 for the front and $1500 for the rear. You can ask them for a discount and they will knock off a couple hundred But "clear throat" that can't beat 800 at (automotive supplies).

Basically it just lines up with the statements from VW about the 34F6 recall. Cars with the synthetic dsg oil driven under heavy traffic conditions in hot climates and equipped with the dq200 dsg would have a failure due to an electrical fault.

Kingskid you had two failures in a relatively short time. First time they replaced your mechatronic unit the recall wasn't out yet so they refilled your car with the same synthetic oil. Failed again "soon" after as I guess you drive in heavier traffic than other owners.

Changing driving style is not the solution though. Only changing the oil will fix things.

Posting for reference. Got new spark plugs today. Massy seems to be continuing the 35% off sale on parts so got 4 sparkplugs for the twincharger for 448.50 total.

Nope. I don't have the tools to remove the coilpacks easily without damaging them. They on their way but won't get here till next month.

Was thinking of letting Best Auto do it but more than 2.5 years later they have no service centre in south Massy for Volkswagen so may let my mechanic change them instead.

What is wrong with the world today?
Saw a brand new PDD jetta pull up at the gas station and full up with super right next to me ....

Then yesterday a co-worker tell me she doesn't like the noise the hill hold makes when pulling off so she just uses the gas to keep the car from moving on a hill ...

Doesn't sound like anything special actually. This has been happening for decades before so nothing new. In fact I think now is the best time to do these types of things simply because the modern car compensates for so much. Super? Knock sensor and timing retardation with reduced performance. Gas on hill hold? Jetta will disable clutches anyway if she is unreasonable with the gas on each hill.

You could tell your coworker by the way that hill hold should be silent. She might want to check her brakes for rust or something else that is binding that makes a noise when the bind is broken.

Tried to install a rear diffuser but I can't seem to get all the clips to fit flush, any tips?

Have you tried using two pairs of hands? Also try getting the ends to clip in first before working into the middle? Sometimes you need to give some a good twack as the bumper is flexible and so is the oem diffuser.

What portion of the clips aren't aligning or does it vary each time you try?

Specifically the clip right above the muffler on the left side. I started from the right side

Try starting with that clip then the ends and then the middle?

How do you guys read this battery indicator?
Is the white ring applicable to the reading or is it the spot in the centre that is supposed to turn "clear"?

I believe the spot in the center changes colour.

Morning people,parkup in front BAuto rite now,when i select the gears it flashing from D1 to a spanner in all gears continuously.

When i left home this morning and i accelerate the car giving a buck doing this in all gears.

Thanks bunny will check, i spoke to the lead technican said they will check but i told him from research it points to that.

He told me to replace a mec unit cost $30000,thank God i still under warranty.

More than likely they replace it under good will ..even if out of warranty
