I think Time Attack events on weekends will give an opening to new competitors looking to wet their feet. It will give an opportunity to learn the track and offer practice and driving improvement. It will open a new revenue stream for the club and it will encourage the proper guidelines for building a track ready car and a driver that can advance to local circuit racing and eventually CMRC and beyond.

Good guidelines for Time Attack here

35 seconds 45 seconds 52 seconds ?

the 120Y did a best of 46.2 secs on the old layout using a STOCK SR20DET ENGINE & the OEM swing axle setup.
now...instead of making the circuit MORE COMPETITIVE....the 'smart' person opened up the chicane, eliminating any skill or strategy required to negotiate the 'back'.

still 'cornfused'

any other info re: classes, etc..........ctc the TTASA 'competitions chairman' & make sure u start with
re shithounds
before u get the short end of the stick.

Noted , a few of us with stock street cars did single lap times way back in the early 2000's when it was an open track .By far those chicanes presented the most challenge on the suspension and the quick direction changes needed at a modest speed . The hand times on that day were 52 to 53 seconds stock auto NA P11 53 .xx and stock NA 6 speed Levin 52.xx

you all will probs do 50sec with ease now...u only hve to lift ONCE (a very little bit) going through the back (sheessh)......might get more strategy weaving in & out of stupid traffic on the eastern mail road

I really hope Time Attack gets kick started at wallers, but with no corruption and greedy promoters "that just really sours a good thing" if its organized anything like the drag and wine events that would be great!
Would love to bring my Touge weapon on an actual circuit and see what time i can do
