most likely a 69 or 70 Fast Back, they came with flat 1600 or "pan engines". Most were dual carbs. IRS suspension....

They soon join the list of late 60s early 70s VWs that now call big $.

Some called them the "poor man's Porsche". They were very similar in size and shape.

^^^ ^that was once owned by Gary/Rennie St. Hill (St. Hill Family) from Mausica/St Helena side.... avid VW and Amercian Muscle Collector... i can almost confirm the first two numbers of that plate are "76..." The St. Hill clan bought that car from a SDA pastor called Terry Horrell.... Terry (from Grande/Coal Mine area) also had a blue bug with a 2180 (GEX built) that used to mooooooooove!!!

At one point the St Hill family at the same time a prestine 1975 Peugeot 504 (white) a 73 blue 504, a Pontiac Parisienne Coupe and the dad (RIP) had a lovely deep red '81 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Coupe.

I know this cuz I used to go to their church (Arima SDA) and used to drool over them growing up. They never owned a Japanese or English car.... only VW's and American

..Gary still has the GMC Blazer on a lift kit (PAM 117 i think)....Deep Silver two tone. like this one:
